I wil probably get flamed for this, but I truly believe that there are, in fact other sentient beings in the universe(multiverse if it exists). I also think that our planet has been visited countless times. I will admit that it is odd that there have been few documented cases of credible sightings.
However, if these beings are intelligent enough to develop the extremely fast vehicles described in sightings, surely they could figure out how to avoid detection.

Zap, it was also once thought that putting a man in space was impossible, but we figured out a way to do it. I have no clue how visitors get here, but I think they obviously have some means of travel that we do not know about yet.

It is possible that there is life all over the universe but since faster than light travel takes infinite energy it is impossible. No one is traveling here from another planet. It just isn’t happening. Read up on the physics.

Before, we never knew about Quantum Physics, but a few scientists basically disproved all the previous theories on how the universe worked. Before that, they disproved that the earth was flat and that everything revolved around the earth. So, as far as WE know, we can’t travel faster than the speed of light. OUR physics is preventing us from doing so. But, we could always be wrong.
