Alex_uk: 40 years in the making

I don’t like it, but I’ve never stopped doing it. I also haven’t prioritized it. Back in 2018 I pushed it hard with SGSS and maxed at 370. I had a flare up of hip pain shortly after so I started modifying things again. I haven’t pushed it hard since then but I also haven’t quit.

What does this stand for? It sounds like it really worked for you.

Simple guaranteed size and strength

Simple Guaranteed Size and Strength. It’s a free program I found of CT’s ThibArmy page. It’s a great program but it does take its toll on the body. I need more upper body work than the program allowed. Most of my gains were in my legs and rear.

sounds good to me!

Eat 3000 calories a day, and I am sure you would be ready for it.

The fun thing about getting a bigger yoke is mainly my mum’s reaction, she has a fairly big dislike of well developed traps, and everytime I gain any trap size she tells me that “you don’t want to look like one of those men with no necks” then proceeds to try and do an impression of a fat guy with traps.

Weird but amusing and really the only reason I need more trap!

That’s pretty good and as your epiphany showed you, you don’t need certain things, so you don’t need to spend time on it when you can better utilise that time else where. Not like adding 50lbs to your current squat will have any tangible benefit to your life!

That’s not to say just give up on it, but you know, just doesn’t need to be a priority, which sounds like you’re doing just fine with!

Seems like most of my gains, 2021 will hopefully be a year where my arms grow at least a little bit. Needs that prioritisation - never made it one before, strangely enough my arms are a weak point.

I have the same issue. Haven’t done curls consistently since ever and yet there’s still a big hole in my arm where biceps are supposed to be. Strange

Haha I have enough for the moment, but if that’s a goal for you then…

That is definitely the correct answer!

It’s funny I want bigger arms, but really not into doing the things that will get me there!

Me too. If I had to pick bigger arms or bigger legs, I’d go for arms 10 times out of 10. If you asked me about doing squats or curls, I’d go for squats 10 times out of 10. Because I’m smart like that

So so true, glad I’m not the only weirdo out there. I don’t even like doing squats they’re hard work!

That’s why I’m committing a year to that and a significant increase in deads, public commitment again, great for focusing on the goals.

Whilst I’m musing about arms, anyone who hasn’t got pipe cleaners for arms (or anyone who had and now hasn’t) what’s been your most successful arm routine or methodology?

Train them lol

Hmm seems to complicated.

Maybe an Anavar only cycle will help?

Can I tell you about my Max Pyramidding scheme? You do one rep every 52 days. The great thing about it is that, as long as you don’t compare yourself to anyone else, ever, you feel like you’re doing great. Maximum inroads

Might grow a vagina though.

Here are my thought on arms…i will start by saying my arms are not that bad considering where they started from but im no mass monster.

I’ve always trained then directly, so that’s a start.

Chins, dips, pin presess made up majority of my heavy arm work, but I assume you do these often already.

I think you cant go wrong with finishing with a tri set. Biceps- incline curl, spider curl, hammer curl.
Triceps- overhead extention, close hand press ups, push downs. Take each exercise to fsilure at 8-12 reps no rest for 1 run through.

Takes very little time at all and will throughly destroy your arms.
