squats are very fun! Deads are more fun than squats though IMO.
A lot more fun than training arms.
It’s a risk I’m willing to take!
That’s definitely a good start, one I have failed at miserably.
Yes, yes, and not really just full bench.
Thanks, seems like something solid I can throw in at the end of a proper session (I will reserve “arm days” for if I feel it’s necessary a couple of months into 2021). Will implement this post BtM!
Do you mean “fun” or fun, because if you mean actually fun, then you’re just wrong!
That’s true in both the “fun” and fun sense.
As is this!
Haha sounds like my current arm program.
framing is everything ![]()
.
This.
This is solid and an even easier approach is to pick one of those and do 21s, a drop set, or a 350 set - anything to failure.
I don’t train arms much, but I’ve had luck just going to failure a couple times at the end of a session. It takes like 2 minutes.
I also have thrown arm training into my rest period for leg training. Squats weren’t a problem but blowing up my triceps while deadlifting kind of sucked.
I’m with @anna_5588 - squats are fun. The more of them the better.
Also - I want bigger arms and I do maybe 1 set of curls a month.
The problem is everytime I programming curls I start calling everyone “Bro” and a voice begins to whisper in my head:
“Only bench on Monday. Only do legs on Friday. Never rerack your weights.”
Haha that’s brilliant. I’m already half way there, never tidy up behind myself! (Because of home gym).
I am being sort of funny/facetious, do kind of like squats, and lifting in general, but BtM has definitely made me enjoy squatting a whole lot less.
Join me on the dark side for year for the gunz.
Thanks I’ll give all of these ideas a go before the end of the year and figure out what “works” best for me.
This is why I do Poundstone curls. 1 set, once a week.
Just googled these, the first result is a video of you!
So empty barbell X 100?
Axle. And I go for rep PRs each week. Start at 100. I did 130 my last workout.
Cool I’ll add that to the mix as well, might as well try everything!
Don’t be fooled by @T3hPwnisher these are not easy !!
Think I’ve tried them in the past having read about them from Paul Carter, not sure I got past the 30/40 rep mark but looking at comment on @T3hPwnisher video if you push through that then you stand a chance of completing it!
There is something beautiful about ultra high reps.
I like sets of 50 for lateral rises. Its the feeling of achievement afterwards.
I get to 12 and think - I’m only 25% of the way there. This will be hard.
I get to 25 and think - half way, there is no way I can do this
Then at 37 I’m thinking well who knows. I might just make this.
At 50 I feel like I’ve climbed a mountain.
Yeah I had these kind of epiphanies as well with rear delt work ahah. Makes you put in perspective effort and what you’re capable of
Hang and swing destroyer sets?
Try them with rear delt rows first, takes it up a notch.
Yeah this and sets of 40 with rear delt flyes machine ahahah
@aldebaran @dagill2 - sickos.
Morning weight 212.5 and looking soft!
