Dude, Monday’s for me are the worst…100 chins for me is effin’ nutty. However, because the first session is nutty like this it makes the other 2 somewhat less terrible. Keep on eating!
The first week will leave you a mess…the 2nd week feels better. Then the 3rd week hits . Then you realize you are about to up weight and do it all again. Fun stuff.
It’s crazy, I’m not terrible at chins (not great but can do decent dead stop full ROM weighted chins - although I wasn’t dead stopping these today!) But getting 100 chins on top of squatting, pressing and dipping is just mad.
Funnily enough I already reassured myself by looking to next session and felt comforted by it a little.
Just for clarity, you’re taking a workout plan that was deemed “worse than Deep Water” by sentient farm machinery, and adding extra work. And giant setting it? And doing conditioning first?
I feel like you’re meaning to talk about me here, except I’ve been adamant that Deep Water was much MUCH worse than BtM. BtM made me want to quit on day 1: Deep Water made me want to quit every week. I referred to it as “BtM on bath salts”.
I didn’t time it overall but longer than I intended, probably 75/85 mins, felt like longer.
In my defence, KB swings literally just 3 per set to prime explosiveness (or something like that?) Ab rolls cos I’d never do any ab work if I didn’t gaint set it here and I dropped it after 5 sets and that’s only 4 cleans for which I blame @T3hPwnisher and immediately regretted agreeing to (mental note - just because strange men online say to do something doesn’t mean you have to).
This is definitely one I have no interest in trying.
Haha that is definitely not the case! (He’s both significantly stronger and has way more dietary restraint than me… Although I had been considering experimenting with low carbs post BtM, but I really do love carbs).
yeah… I’m struggling rn with 4 sets, of not even real weights
Although, I’d love to try it… just once…
Sheiko is big on what feels like an infinite number of sets. The difference is that all of them are at a low RPE. That was effective and I loved it, but definitely not fun (more mentally hard than anything)
There is definitely a big element of that for me with multiple straight sets, feels dull, 3 straight sets is usually my max before boredom and loathing sets in (“Boredom and loathing in the UK” my new log name if I ever do anything close to DW!).
