Ever consider the strategy of eating during your night time sleeping? I know a few dudes that would be well hydrated before bed with a weight gainer shake ready to go in the fridge, get up, pee, drink the shake and go back to sleep.

Or even better…a protein shake with potato salad mixed in for improved flavanoid response.

I definitely can’t get on any sort of high horse when it comes to food combination normalcy. I just figure eliminating chewing is the best bet for a meal like that.

I’m fairly certain I know some dudes that used instant mashed potato flakes in shakes to add calories come to think about it.

In all fairness I’m probably still only eating 3.5-4k cals and being lazy I could/should probably just tuff it up and eat 4-5k cals and really push through! I’ll try that first then move on to night time feedings - I do wake up to pee most nights anyway, but the thought of chugging a thick shake doesn’t fill me with joy!

Hmm I do like instant mash…

But usually with significant amounts of butter

If you do wanna spitball some ideas for getting in extra calories, more than happy to help there. But I get laziness for sure. It’s honestly what’s compelling me to stay lean at this point. So little effort.

Jesus, you poor fellas. Let me go find my tiny ass violin.

I did pick up a whole load of nuts recently due to our conversation, funnily enough I’ve only been eating the salted and roasted cashews, the plain ones are still unopened!

It really is laziness, because I know how to eat but it’s a struggle to eat 4-5k consistently, it’s just uncomfortable and doing it for weeks on end grinds, even if I’m eating junk.

I don’t even count those :joy:

Good to hear, where do you get carbs from then?

I have 2 slices of sprouted grain bread at breakfast and sometimes fit in sweets (chocolates, honey in my cocoa powder etc). We recently bought a crap ton of raw honeycomb so I’ve been going pretty hard on that

I’m not surprised my 10 year old daughter (who is at the bottom 3 percentage of her age for weight to height ratio, she’s tall but super skinny) is catching you up! Two slices of bread?!

Good work on the honey comb though, are there any starchy carbs that don’t irritate your digestion?

I don’t really enjoy starchy carbs so I don’t consider them “worth the calories “, especially when there are more delicious and/ or nutritious options (ie fruit) available-opportunity cost too high

I don’t enjoy sweating and working hard, not really the point, it’s necessary to reach my goals.

Anyway I’ll leave that conversation well alone, I’m sure you’ve heard enough about nutrition on this forum to last a lifetime haha, don’t need anyone else giving you their opinion!

Back to the sweating thing, I really hate it!

Dude, no. Battered Mars Bars are one thing, but potato salad on pizza is just crazy.

Hear that @alex_uk, even a fellow brit is calling out your lack of taste :joy::joy::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You guys need to try it before you knock it, also @dagill2 doesn’t like Snickers and refused to acknowledge the greatness of mushy peas - I doubt his Britishness.

I reckon that’s the best compliment a Brit can get about his taste

Week 6 day 3:

Conditioning
30 sec on 10 secs rest - 10 mins total - row sprint alternating kB swings 16kg. Approximately 18 swings per round.

Gs1:
Power clean 60 X 3 X 4 sets then switched to
kB swings 24kg X 5 X 1 sets
Ssb squat: 60, 80, 100, 120, 140kg X 5
Ab roll: 5 X 5 sets
Bjj: 8 X 5 sets red band

Gs2:
kB swings: 24kg X 5 X 3 sets
Ssb: 112.5kg X 13, 10, 10
Ab roll: 5 X 3
Bjj; 8 X 3

Emom
Sumo 85kg + red band X 3 X 10 sets

Both disappointed and not overly bothered about today, disappointed because I wanted to beat the other time I did ssb X 5 RM, but not because there was quite a few extenuating circumstances (biggest being back was not feeling up to it, not at all recovered from heavy rows yesterday, abs were ruined so bracing sucked and legs were bad from running, forgot shoes and sleeves so barefoot and bare knees which felt weird) so all in all it was ok, beat the volume set by 1 just to make sure I won somewhere in the session. It was also insanely hot today (for the UK).

Didn’t eat nearly enough going in breakfast then nothing (training at 3pm) but banana and 30g hydrolysed whey going in.

Conditioning was hard as but starting to feel a bit “easier”…
