I’m already pretty humble, can I just skip the sandbags?
No. Negative reassurance is key to remaining humble.
Haha, oh no you’ve completely burst my bubble, I’ve flipped through his video now and realise where I went wrong - he tells you to screenshot the wave 1 layout - I did, it’s 4 weeks, which is muy confusing, but I think that the 4 weeks of that is just because way the volume work is laid out and that runs on a 4 week cycle 50-65% then reset.
Although my bubble is well and truly burst (mostly the bubble that was me thinking I had some basic level of comprehension, but alas no!) - I’m already committed to this deload by the most important and unbreakable measure ever: I told my wife my sessions this week would only be 20 minutes long!
Which leaves me with this thought, run the deload, hit 2 - 3 week cycles deload and then test twice. Extends the program by 1 work week but also adds a second deload, so should count as a fairly authentic run? Any thoughts?
Haha yes humble yourself with, pain, sweat and misery!
Thanks for the ideas I’ll make sure to try them all - I’ll report back if there is any cursing of your name!
Weight update - 208 (14.12), clearly supercompensation from deload and not ice-cream and fruit and nut chocolate catching up with me…
I am sure there will be. I recently broke my sandbag and at first there was a little part of me that was really happy about it, haha.
But then zercher squats made their appearance yeah… that’s another kind of horror.
I think it’s good. Go with your plan. This whole thing is a template, anyway, so you’re still following “the rules.”
You’re really not completely deloading, anyway, because you’ve added the whole new asskicker of the sandbag.
Haha that is true, it’ll be a week of technique and sandbag work!
Is that zerchers with the sandbag or with a bar?
I’ve now got to ask a question which I probably don’t want to know the answer to, how heavy is your sandbag?
With the bar.
It was 100 kg. Usually competitions on my level will feature sandbags between 100 and 120 kg.
Although you have to keep in mind with sandbags, the total weight isn’t all there is to it. Far more important is how tightly packed the sandbag is. If there is slack in there, it will be significantly harder to handle the bag than it would be if it weighed 30 kg more.
I’ll have to work up to 100 now, need to get “comfortable” man handling that thing!
I also have no comparison to figure out if mine is loose or tight, if I’m honest feels fairly tight, doesn’t move around much in the sack.
Haha yea I did think that as I was typing it!
You have a log? That seems odd.
I do, not sure why that’s odd, I thought you’d posted here before?
Morning weight 205.5 (14.9 & 1/2) - that weight gain was short lived (I even ate a pizza, about 100g fruit and nut and had a protein shake just before bed, don’t I even get some water retention?!).
Homeostasis is strong! Going to need some serious prolonged surplus eating, back to tracking.
I just thought you were some kind of Borg creature, creeping around from thread to thread, spreading your unquestionable evil. Although in fairness, the same nouns and verbs could probably be applied to me.
I guess it is possible I have posted here before, but in my head I was convinced you didn’t have a log.
And now I look I can see you only created it a few weeks ago…
Fuck you. Just fuck you.
Still strong and lean while eating that kind of stuff day in, day out
For those of you who don’t have access to the latest and greatest in chocolate technology, fruit and nut is a chocolate bar. Its not the health kick Alex is trying to sell it as.
