Alberta T-Cell Gathering

Hi folks,

So as some of you may remember from back in the day there used to be a strong Alberta component on these forums. A few of us have recently gotten back into contact and were thinking that perhaps we should have another T-Cell gathering as we haven’t done it in many years.

Any interest?

For sure there will be myself and Cupcake (for those who remember) and I’m sure we can find a few other old timers to come out and party.

So please post here if you’re interested and we’ll get this rocking.

The prospect of an Alberta T-Cell gathering makes me wish I lived in Calgary still. nrt is right though. Ontario just exploded on here.

I like the idea, but would like it more if I wasnt living in the middle of nowhere.

We haven’t decided, I’m in Edmonton and Cupcake is in Calgary. To be honest I don’t think we’re too fussy. . .

Is there any strongman training in Edmonton? I’m not that strong of a person, but I just love the intensity of strongman training.

A little old but did anything ever come of this? I live in Calgary, into strongman and do some Oly Lifting and Powerlifting.

I didn’t know there was such a large Alberta population on T-Nation.

Either did I, I know 3-4 of us from our facility at the U of A are on here but we’ve got a few more then that it seems.

Okay folks,

Here we go, I’m planning a t-cell gathering on September 11th in Edmonton.

Alberta’s Strongest Man (a strongman competition) is being held here:

Delwood Community League
7515 Delwood Road
Edmonton, AB

From 12:00pm - 3:00pm

I’ll be there cheering on competitors (unfortunately I won’t be able to compete) and I would invite you all down to join me.

After that I was thinking that perhaps we could look to dinner and some drinks afterward, if it’s a small enough contingent we could do it at my condo (the drink part dinner would be damn crowded) or we can happily head out to one of many local bars.

Thoughts?

I’m hosting a powerlifting meet on October 30th under the APU banner (CPU and thus IPF affiliate). This could be an additional option for those interested, we plan on it being a huge meet…I as well as many of our lifters will be competing.

My wife & I used to watch it when they hosted it during K-Days (or whatever it’s called now) in the summer
