I fear the next move, to go along with the choruses of “Nobody needs to make over $500K per year! That’s enough for anybody! Anyone who wants to make more than that is just greedy!” will be to be non-discriminatory and simply tax everyone at an extreme rate for all income past $500K.
Oh, the wonders that will do for the economy, when small business owners (and others) will know that they can’t wind up with anything significant extra in their pocket from taking a risk, such as opening a new store, even if it succeeds as the extra income will be taxed away, but they sure will have to absorb the loss if it fails, so why open that new store, or build that new plant, etc.

Actually, one of the fine characters straight out of Atlas Shrugged said that the remaining 10% was expected to go to state taxes. The intent was to leave zero after all taxes.

In some states the telephone carrier (who ever the carrier of last resort was for the area) would at least have to provide a line for 911 services only. I don’t know if any states still require this but many require that non-payers are still able to call 911. The phone company can block all other calls.
This was not all that bad becuase most carriers in rural areas are subsidized up the ass regardless of this.
I’m not much for strategy or conspiracy, but it seems that AIG has positioned itself front and center to become the admin for our national health care plan.
That would be the best and possibly only way to pay back all of the money that Obama has given them.
And the only possible scenario that I could come up with that could take bad to worse.
I just hope he doesn’t do something REALLY fucking stupid like invade the wrong country.
