I didn’t look into the article the OP posted, though I would like to bring up this: The Dems are so pissed off that AIG is giving our tax money to pay off bonuses to those that fucked up the company to begin with, but they aren’t pissed at the fact that over half of AIG’s bailout was given to overseas banks??? They don’t want us to know about that. Thankfully I watched Glenn Beck today 
Oh, Obama will kick some AIG ass. However, he will do so AFTER the damage has been done, and the ass-kicking will be more like a light kick to the shin. Yeah. So my point is that Obama kicks like a weak old woman with accuracy issues.
Why would you want to kick the ass of the people managing the company that you own.
I mean, if you want AIG to succeed and reap returns, you don’t threaten to take away bonuses for it’s employees.
On the other hand, it doesn’t really matter because AIG is going to fail, it was always going to fail, only now it’s going to fail with billions in federal funds thrown into it.
There’s no such thing as a government “investment” because government spending NEVER yields profitable returns.
When the federal government spends money on anything, including infrastructure programs, the increase in productivity or efficiency earnings are ALWAYS overwhelmed by the interest accrued in debt liability AND inflation due to the devaluation of the dollar.
The only reasonable argument that can be made for ANY AND ALL government spending is based on the role of government in public interest.
I can understand an argument for governments spending money on objects that may be necessary in the mind of the public.
However, this administration and the POTUS is incredibly ignorant if they believe that spending that increases the federal deficit and therefore the debt liability can EVER be recovered by these projects.
The ONLY justifiable increase in the federal deficit for fiscal year zero is a tax cut.
Tax cuts(regardless of which tax) ALWAYS increase tax revenues in every year following the fiscal year they are enacted and often in the first year.
More over, what ever tax revenue is lost in fiscal year zero is made up many times over after the first year.

You do know that McCain has a long history of purging rotten eggs from his staff.
Second, in your heart, do you believe that McCain would have loaned AIG $30 billion without reading the fine print?
ESPECIALLY during the recession.
Finally, in your heart of hearts, do you REALLY think McCain would have/or been in the process of spending more than all the other Presidents combined?
Can you really see him doing a massive stimulus and THEN calling for a 3.5 trillion budget?

Several things the Dems are proposing are unconstituitional: (1) HR1388, forcing young people into servitude (13th amendment) (2) forcing states to take the stimulus money (powers reserved to the States) (3) changing laws AFTER an event like the bonuses (artice I, section 9).
The Dems are truly devils.

What a bunch of morons. Obama can whine all he wants but it is my understanding that his administration apporved these bonuses ahead of time. All bonuses that were contractually obligated were to be paid…All AIG is going to get is a good tongue lashing. Which is posturing on that administrations part. The administration let it happen, so they really cannot recoup the money. If they try I am afraid they will be further embarrassed in court. The fucking stimulus was signed into law.

Don’t get me wrong I think there should be no bonuses for execs, because their performance ran the company into the ground, but this adminstration allowed it and signed it into law…They can’t do shit about it, it’s their own fault…I double-dare them to go to court over it.

A teleprompter blunder has led to Barack Obama thanking himself in a speech at the White House in a St Patrick’s Day celebration.

A laughing Mr Obama returned to the podium to take over but it seems the script had finally been switched and the US president ended up thanking himself for inviting everyone to the party.
Mr Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the ?teleprompt president? over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.
Still no video released. This is the third Obama gaffe with no video. First the wrong door incident at the White House, then the helicopter head bump and now this. A dangerous precedent is being set here. If any other politician made this kind of blunder it would be everywhere.
