No kidding about hurts too much. After switching to wide stance squats and doing high volume, I felt like I’d been ridden hard and put away wet. It was a physical impossibility to get my knees together. Just keep hammering away at it. With your muscular butt, I think you’ll end up reaping a ton of benefit from it.

I’ve got lots of time. As soon as I break depth again properly. I’ve been put on a diet of singles for now and we’ll see how it goes.

Did 15 miles on my bike yesterday, which felt great at the time but hurts like a bitch now. My butt is sore from DL to top it off and somehow I woke up yesterday all stuffy, which turned into a full fledged snot fest by mid day. So I’m sick, tired from no sleep since I can’t breathe and sore. Today was supposed to be volleyball, but I don’t think so. Maybe just lie in the sun with box of kleenex and some cold pills.

You’ve been here before. So have I. Use the time to evaluate. I’m not talking lifting either. You already know this but i’ll say it anyway: Take advantage of this time to be who you are. When we are with someone for a long time we become who we are with them. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but now’s the time to enjoy the freedom to just be who ‘you’ are.

Also, maybe you can drop a weight class :slight_smile:

Someone told me recently that people never change who they really are at the core, we just make compromises to in order to accept one another, since no person is perfect. That is about the most truth I’ve ever heard.
Now freakin way I’m dropping a weight class, too damn skinny as it is and I don’t want to lose my ass. Or compete against you LOL.

I guess I know that about you. Still, take the opportunity right now to not compromise for anothers’ imperfections. It’s pretty liberating. I’m a bit more of a chameleon or have been in the past which is why I do better alone.

It’s part of the problem I guess, not enough compromise from either side. I’ll give stuff up, but not big stuff, greedy like that and we are the same in that way. Think I’ll stay single for a while though and just have fun, been a long time.

So yesterday was Montreal Power Wars, a CPO meet and it was a blast! Big boys, big lifts and a few 700+ DLs hitting the floor, the best sound in the world. I never got to meet this guy, this is a close to 1000 squat, he broke 1000 on his third attempt with white lights. This is my motivation for squat day now!

In other news, I found an appartement I think, it’s in an old decrepit building, just how I like 'em LOL and right on the river. I can have my dog and my dishwasher, and the rent is cheap. House was signed off today, we have officially sold it now.

Squats looked really good. As for the miss, it was likely the heat because that 175 looked very smooth.
