Howdy! So ive got a bit of a confusing situation thats developed.
I went from being in good shape a year ago to getting injured and getting fat on top of my muscle after losing my mobility. Now that it’s mostly back, i’ve restarted pinning 400mg PW T-400 after a few years of not doing it and ive combined it with a very strict keto diet to speed up weight loss. I’m in week 2 of T and my weight is literally stuck to the point and wont budge! I know the keto diet and how to get the most from it like the back of my hand but this is a first for me. Im at 1500-1800 cals a day and 3g net carbs max with my fat and protein macros well in check. Im 6’2 and 18 stone of both muscle and fat combined.
Can anyone that knows about the combination of T and the keto be able to shed some light on why im not dropping any further weight since starting the jabs? Ive never combined the 2 before and in my mind, they seemed like the perfect combination to get rid of the fat and get back into a visually better shape again.
Ive been on the keto for 3 weeks and the first week i shed 2kgs of water weight and id imagine a bit of fat too. The second i started pinning again the weight loss halted.
I may have sounded repetitive there but i just wanted to clearly get my issue across for everyone to understand.
Where did you get that idea from? I’m guessing I never got my point across as clearly as I first thought.
What I’m here asking is why now im back to normal and on the keto while pinning T-400 why ive totally stopped loosing weight. I’m not heavy resistance training again yet but i am doing light resistance training and regular exercise as i dont want to screw myself over on my leg again.
Or did you reply to someone elses post on my one? your reply makes no sense or has any connection to my post so i’m assuming that this is what must of happened. No stress mate.
If your fat loss stalled you either need to drop cals or add cardio. Your cals are already super low and really shouldn’t go any lower. You may need to employ a reffed or diet break to get the fire lit again. IMO doing keto trying to diet is gonna fail almost 100% of the time unless that is already your lifestyle. As soon as the foods your not eating go back in you will gain weight back.
I think you’d be best served eating carbs and slowly bringing cals up a bit while increasing cardio for a few weeks and then start dieting again without the keto component. Make it sustainable.
There is no combination of test and keto diet that is better or worse. Test is not a fat burner.
My thoughts, give it more time before saying it’s “not working”. Your body has a new homeostasis set point. Your body will resist change. Give it time.
I know how my body and the keto works woth me so i know how fast i lose weight while on it as ive done it on and off for a long time now! I know what to expect and what i can achieve in a given time frame but, ive never mixed it with test and it has had this combined effect on me. A couple of previous commenters above this have given a decent response that i can get behind and one of them i am already going to implement. The purpose of this post was to ask if anyone knew why it had halted the weight loss. I’m not a newbie moron that dont understand how the body works or how to diet but i am a noob to combining test and a keto diet. I’ve already taken on board the advice of a guy above so we’ll see how it rolls from here.
I’ve never used T, but even I know that water retention is a common side effect (source). It isn’t surprising to me that your weight loss stalled after a couple of weeks of 400mg, even at your ludicrously low caloric intake.
