Advice Needed For Weight Gain

It’s okay to get lazy with your nutrition at times. Life can get in the way and not everybody is always necessarily willing to go the extra mile at a given point.

One thing I feel it’s important to stress is that if you’re planning for this to be a temporary solution, then really don’t make it permanent. Give yourself a deadline and do clean your diet up when you get there. Otherwise it’s too easy to slip into bad habits permanently, and the longer you’ve had a bad habit, the harder it is to get rid of it.

For example, if you choose to get looser with your eating habits for a mass gain phase, let’s say 4-5 months, then do make a point to gradually work up to being “stricter” once that phase is over. Don’t stay into “sloppy eating” mode forever.

Last year I hit the gym hardcore for the first time. I ate basically nothing but chicken breasts and sweet potatoes as my big healthy things. But I also started my day with 5 bags of instant oatmeal with milk and had spaghetti with marinara everyday. I gained a shit ton of muscle and I doubt any fat, if anything I lost fat. If you’re hitting the gym hard and eating mainly clean some bad stuff ain’t gonna kill you like pasta and sugary oatmeal lol
