Advice For All of You Raging Libido Guys

May be worth your time.

WHY is she taking it? Symptoms?

She takes for acid reflux. She gets Mostly at night when laying down with pain.

@ChickenLittle ideas?

Why did you come back here miss thang??!! Lol. J/J

How did your Clorox rinse go? Hahaha

Just in case ANYONE misinterprets this…this is a southern joke and is not meant in ANY way to be offensive, sexists, or in any other derogatory manner, implied or imposed.

I have never researched what she is taking, but have the acid blockers, they are BAD news!

Maybe @physioLojik gut healing diet he offered on the other thread would be VERY useful here!

And do some research on glutamine.

EMy wife did keto and lost 30 pounds in 4 months … but I believe this diet is bad for anyone who has genetics that point to blood or heart issues, I say that because of the rediculous amounts of meat KEto eat.

It’s definitely not something I would promote long term, but it’s a viable option for dropping fat.

What kind of keto was she doing that she ate a ton of meat? Typically, unless you’re doing modified keto, protein is moderate to low. Fats are really high and that’s where it brought me grief.

Not sure but she eats eggs , chicken , red meat, with some veggies… I’m sure more foods are involved but that’s the overall picture.

I gotcha. The red meats typically have a lot of saturated fat, but they have a ton of protein too. Usually “traditional” keto frowns on high protein because it can be converted to glucose and knock you out of ketosis. My wife and I used the “modified” approach because we needed the protein for working out. We stayed on the fence pretty much of “mild nutritional ketosis”. Worked great and I was actually able to still make strength gains, but I found it hard to take in the required amount of fat without resorting to some saturated fat. Apparently “some” is way too much. My ldl more than doubled in 8-9 weeks. My wife’s did too. We went back to a more balanced stack with a caloric deficit, and time our carbs based on workouts. We’ve done this before and it does work to lose fat and still retain/gain muscle, but it’s not near as quick as keto.

I was suggesting that to @charlie12 because it sounds like in his situation, if his wife could do something and see decently quick results it may motivate her even more. My wife didn’t really get motivated until I showed her the before and after pics of herself. She had no idea how much she had changed!! After that, she attacked the weights like a beast and now it was HER idea to get a consult and labs with Defy. She is driven now to be healthy and it’s all because she finally SAW the results for herself!

Awesome. She looks great. I started my wife lifting when we got married. She was an athlete and took to it well. Before long, her friends were wanting to come over so I could train them. Uh……………no. All women/everyone should do strength training.

Charlie, how about getting some labs?

Fact. I would add it should be heavy too. No pink dumbells.

I have read in places that heartburn/reflux could actually be caused by low stomach acid not excess. Something to think about when using something that lowers or blocks stomach acid.

That’s our motto. Either lift it or don’t. No screwing around!

Thank you man I really appreciate that. I’m proud as hell of her and she has worked her little ass of to get to where she’s at now. I’ll tell her she got a compliment on the forum. That’ll make her day!

Ranitidine stops working for most people. Omezorpole (bad spelling) works way better.

I had 2 years of bad acid reflux… it got my tonsils and throat messed up to where I was in allot of pain …

Anyways I started TRT a few weeks ago and it disappeared after a week or so. Simply amazed. I have no clue why I was healed. I literally woke up one morning and i didn’t feel the need for a pill… drank coffee… still nothing…

I’m happy as hell this has been resolved.

I wonder is she would be better off with t3 only med.

I wouldn’t do that, brain needs T4. I’d increase T3 and to do that use a T3/T4 bioidentical combo. With rT3 of 20.3, she’ll be hypo until she gets to a fT3 level of 4.0+. There is a 2.2x increased risk of CVD with sub clinical hypothyroidism.
