A question for whoever has the biggest brain:
When on a diet to improve one’s body composition, via fat loss and at least maintaining LBM, why do most diets assume the caloric requirements will need to be lowered to continue seeing improvements? If one’s weight stays about the same, and fat mass is lost, wouldn’t that mean the caloric requirements are increased due to increased LBM? Or is this taking into account metabolic slowdown?
thanks,
Sam
