Adding Stuff to PWO Surge Meal

Normally, I mix my own PWO shake but everyone comments on how great SURGE Recovery fuel is so I must try. My question is this, what are your thoughts on adding creatine and L-glute to the SURGE meal. Whether anyone has done it like this or not feel to comment on the pros and cons…

Depending on your goals and what type of training your doing, creatine monohydrate should be about the only addition you would might need. Surge is already a 2:1 carb to protein ratio, so adding extra protein isn’t really necessary. Personally, I would skip the L-glute, but I’m sure some will disagree. Might want to search some of the articles on PWO nutrition.

I add creatine, BCAA’s, and beta-alanine to mine. Only problem with l-glutamine could change the taste a bit depending on how much you use.

Shugs says the surge already has glutamine in it (not sure how much though, and it doesn’t say in it’s description in the store).

I add creatine and Superfood if I haven’t gotten any yet that day, but usually just creatine.

I always add creatine mono

creatine and about 10 to 15 grams of BCAA powder.

Thanks a bunch everyone. I will continue adding creatine to my PWO shake. And of course, the pre, during and post BCAA are a must. I will rethink the L-Glute, although I think it helps on the recovery. (not sure…)
