Hi Christian dna test revealed i have actn3rr gene.
Was kinda happy about this as i have read it may be beneficial for the gainz.
Would you recommend using this information to guide my training at all with regards to load frequency volume etc,
As a side note I know you a big proponent of neurotyping pretty sure i would be 2a passionate
and my goal is increased size and strength
Thanks for your time
Well it is useful info especially as far as rest intervals, rep/intensity ranges and training methods are concerned.
You will respond best to progressive overload training, trying to get gradually stronger for 4-8 reps/set.
You will need slightly more rest intervals between sets.
Heavy lifting will be very effective at helping you build muscle.
Clusters and heavy reps/pause (starting with a 4-6RM , resting 20 seconds, doing as many extra reps as possible with the same weight) will work great for you.
I would not use methods/loading schemes where the muscle is under load for more than 30 seconds or shoot for the maximum burn.
Thank you very much for your response i appreciate you taking the time.
Rest pause is my favourite training method so Im glad you thought it would work well.
Your best damn strength looks like a solid choice so i may run that or somthing similar
