Fellow member of the Pitt faculty asked if I would start lifting with him on lunch breaks; quite a strong fellow himself, as we went set for set in the workout you see above (he’s about my height, and a bit lighter than me, probably about 210-215, I would guess). We’ll probably get together for a once a week squatting session. I intend to continue doing most of my workouts at home, but it’ll be nice to have a partner for one workout a week, someone to push and challenge me.

Lifted at lunchtime with my pal on the faculty (he went lift for lift up to 455, then missed 495, so he took a few bonus reps at 405 after I was done). My back was feeling pretty tender so I didn’t push too hard, but had little difficulty with the reps at 495.
Yer and I bet you loved it and was smiling inside. Good work.
