At a bodyweight of 213.8, this is my first double-bodyweight sumo pull, and first since May of this year, prior to my short “pull-ups, kettlebells, and leaning out” hiatus. Good to be back in the double-bodyweight club.
Feeling a little run down today (wife has COVID and is having a rough go of it, though fortunately I’ve got just mild symptoms) so I kept the weights light, though I actually felt pretty good by the end of the workout.
The “max effort” here is still kind of a misnomer, as it really means that I’ve set a new comeback-PR rather than maxed out. 265 is by no means a true max effort on front squat, but it’s nice to slowly nudge things upward and keep notching things that I can record as new comeback PR’s, also builds confidence for me to rebuild slowly.
