Achieving God Mode

Ha love the idea that the barbell enticed you into the room like some sort of elongated, metal temptress!

Thanks brothaz!

@Shlitre, she is a cruel and tempting siren! I find myself stroking the cage sometimes…

===========================================

AM
Warmups: 20 bw squats

Squats:
60kg x 5
100kg x 3
120kg x 1 - felt so heavy!
140kg x 1
150kg x 1 - felt stupidly heavy
Form felt tight, weight felt heavy. Meh. Hips felt mega tight and twangy, lower back was tired, chest was tight.

Bulgarian Split Squats:
BW x 20 each leg
Dat pump and burn. So weak on single leg stuff? Need to add it back in!

Natural GHRs:
15 negatives
10 negatives - Volume PR
Fuck these are brutal.

Notes:
Stretched out nicely at the end. Guess my body isn’t used to squatting that “heavy” three times a week yet - looking back, even though I’ve been squatting very regularly it’s also been with pretty light weights a lot of the time. Next week should be better.

Nice work on that press, don’t think I recall seeing someone strain that much and not miss the rep before… so good job! Weights getting up there too.

ugly PR is still a PR

killin ittt

Fuck you are a strong presser jab1, keep it up

Thanks you brahs.

Don’t normally lift on weekends but I just felt like I wanted to today, so I experimented a bit.

PM
“Klokov” Press:
20kg x 8
40kg x 3 x 3
These are retardedly hard but felt very nice in my delts. Now to just make them smooth as fuck with 2plateslmao like Klokov. Or not fml.

Squat Lockouts:
120kg x 1
150kg x 1
185kg x 1 x 7 - felt so fucking heavy!
So that’s 7 singles, just locking out (unracking basically) 185. Actually felt pretty beat up from this but enjoyed it a lot.

Notes:
Had some fun, tried some new things and I think both of these will become more regular features.

Klokov doing the press:

What a fucking ridiculous BEAST!

Might as well go full Anderson brah. 855 hold ez beltless. Mirin’ yo smex appeal. Don’t do them too often though. They’re not taxing in terms of force production, but the skeletal/connective fatigue/stress can accumulate in a bad way without good rest. I’d say keep them in no more than 2-3 weeks at a time with at least 6-8 weeks break in between if you want to progress on them.

Another good Klokov press vid. I’ve started doing them recently…they’re humbling.

Bro story cool.

I love that as a way to warm up the shoulders and gain some flexibility. Never done it with weight. I see the calf strength lads dishing out some crazy numbers on that. I remember reading ages and ages ago how bad a behind the neck press was lolol.

Damn 185. When you go back to back squatting itll feel soooooooo much lighter. Hows dat calf?

lol, give me time brah. I was planning on doing pretty much what you said so it’s good to hear your advices corroborating my thoughts… I feel like they’re pretty taxing on the nervous system as I crashed out afterwards.

That video was sick, such a ghetto setup! They are truly humbling. Cray.

I remember reading that sort of thing… It actually felt great on my shoulders. I think you have to work up to that kind of mobility though.

Calf is feeling much improved, just a bit tight lately. Not bothering me during squats at all though which is good!

IKR?

AM
Warmups: band dislocates, pipe dislocates, other mobilisation and rolling

The Bear:
40kg x 5 x 5
Fuck me this was horrible. 40kg has never felt so heavy and my conditioning blows.

Bent Rows:
40kg x 20 x 2 - Overhand Grip
40kg x 20 x 3 - Underhand Grip
Focusing on squeezing the contraction. Got a crazy pump, so much blood flowing.

Notes:
Nice lightweight workout, filled my body with blood. I was also accompanied by a very nice young lady who filled my penis with blood.

lol, by crashed out I just mean I was tired and slept well after. Happens to me after pretty much every workout!

The bear is a complex of:
Power Clean
Front squat
Press
Back Squat
Press

So all those once through is 1 rep.

Girl is 21 brah.

G4P?

in dog years amirite

@Shlitre, for you - free.

@Spar, make up your own mind - see pic (she gave me permission). Also joined me for squats this morning.

AM
Warmups: a whole bunch of bodyweight squats, some shoulder mobilisation

Squats:
60kg x 8
100kg x 3
120kg x 2
135kg x 5 - jesus motherfucker this felt like heavy and hurt my elbow
135kg x 5 - moved my arms wider which helped my elbow but weight felt even heavier
135kg x 5 - did someone actually load 200kg on here? Fuck my life
135kg x 5 - had a breakthrough, this felt somewhat improved
135kg x 5 - Volume PRthe best set, unracking felt easy and the weight was dominated
Fuck my life, so gruelling. Nearly quit at 120. Nearly quit again at 135. Hated myself forever as I kept doing sets, but I was determined to to smash the fucking weights. On a good day this would have been easy. Today was hell.

Bulgarian Split Squats:
BW x 20 each leg
BW x 20 each leg
OMG dat burn my legs fucking died. So much lactic acid.

Notes:
Everything sucked before I started squatting - I felt tired, my back was tired, my elbow hurt and the weights felt like a house. But as I pushed through it got better - by the end of the workout I felt awesome. Very glad I stuck it out. Squats are such a mental game!

lolz

Nice

er yeah we r goin on a night out for the babes

kthx

Definitly in dog years.
GG BRAH. The fact you found a girl who squats makes it 10x better.

Oh awesome work on those squats as well. Were they barefoot or in shoes?
