You’re right on the Ring Fallouts working, you stayed tight and upright through the squats really well. Good job man.
Nice squat!
Nice PR mang
hooray
Sessi looking squats, good to see you back at it mayne!
Great work on the PRs. All kindsa gains. I know what you mean about the ups and downs, I’ve had plenty of ups recently but there’s still things I need to sort out. Got to keep on trucking and realise how awesome living the T-Man lifestyle for years on end will make us.
Dem PR’s, keep it AWP!
WHEN YOU GONNA HOP BACK INTO YOUR OLY SHOES?
Good work little buddy.
With those record breaking double-a-day sessions, you must be eating like a horse.
Do you do any mobility work? Your numbers are impressive… one day I would like to be able to squat 150kg.

Thanks so much brahs. I’m an emotional sort, so I’m not exaggerating when I say it means a lot to me. <3
@Jake, ain’t that the truth! This kind of life has given me so much that I never would have had otherwise, and it’s amazing going to sleep knowing that I will be so much more awesome a few years down the line.
@Jacob, soon brah soon. Letting my calf get back in to it slowly - I think I’ll introduce them to front squats again first.
@Birdbrah, thanks man, numbers aren’t impressive to me yet, but getting there! You’ll get there for sure on the squat, you have a great work ethic.
I was eating a crapload over winter, but lately it’s been hot (not today though!) and I haven’t needed or wanted to. I’m maintaining my weight pretty easily on just 2 or 3 big meals a day now, whereas when it was colder I needed a lot more.
I do a fair amount of mobility work, normally before bed each night. Depending on what I feel I need most I do a combination of foam rolling, ball rolling (with a softball, which is actually rock hard) and stretching of my hips, plus some third world squats held in the hole for time. I also do a lot of band and pipe dislocates for my shoulders.
I’ve had a superfrustrating couple of days. Yesterday I couldn’t bench without flaring my elbow tendinitis up in my left arm. I was able to press without pain though, and hit a PR of 70kg x 3.
Then today I was front squatting, the weights felt mega light and I was feeling confident of a PR but on my last ramp up set I overstretched the muscles/tendons in my right hand/fingers and couldn’t hold the bar. Fuckssake. Both of these issues are very minor and will sort themselves out quickly, it’s just frustrating having my workouts fucked up.
On the bright side, I used my Oly shoes again today for the fronties and everything formwise, strengthwise and calfwise felt supersweet.

Im planning on doing this when watching TV or playign X-box at night. Any tips? Do you try and keep the arch in your lower back in the position. How wide are your feet and where do you point your toes? How long do you hold the position for?

As I see it, not every workout is going to go perfect or according to plan. No need to get frustrated, it’s about the big picture and if you kill it 90% of the time, in a year you’ll have made a lot of gains.
Heal up brotha and get to it next week. Easy PRs will be had.

I wouldn’t watch TV while doing it all the time - it helps to focus on your legs, foot position and the muscles imo. Also a good thing to do is clasp your hands between your legs and use your elbows to push your knees out while keeping your feet facing forwards (or near enough). Awesome stretch. I have my feet at shoulder width or just wider.
I always keep my low back flat as possible - sometimes I hold on to something in front of my so I can get even more vertical. I’ll hold it for a minute or two at a time, sometimes more.

You’re totally right bro, and thanks. PRs were had today!
=======================================
PM
Press:
60kg x 5 - paused reps
70kg x 1
80kg x 1 - push press. I knew as soon as it was in my hands that I couldn’t press it lol
77.5kg x 1 - 2.5kg Press PR but the rep was hideous! Ugliest Rep Ever PR
60kg x 3 x 5 - Volume PR damn these were flying up
60kg has never felt so light in my hands! These felt like speed reps, not reps at nearly 80% of my max!
Ab Fallouts On Rings:
10
These were bothering my elbow so stopped there. Abs got toasty do’.
Notes:
Pretty awesome workout. You might notice there wasn’t a warm up - see, I was planning on not working out, but when I walked past the room I knew 60kg was on the bar and just wanted to heft it for a rep. But it felt so light I did five, then thought “fuck it, let’s max out”. And it went awesome! I was pumped after my max lift and wanted some volume and 60kg just was still feeling crazy light so I went for it.
Ab stuff was a bonus.
I gotta say, I felt awesome and energetic throughout this workout - I’m going to reconsider how I do my warmups. Maybe keep to more mobilisation work and ramp up in weight slightly quicker - I want to try and replicate these conditions but I am also keen to minimise the old injury risk. Shoulders feel great though.
Video:
As you say it sure wasn’t pretty but great job finishing it.
Sweet. LOLs were had.
Damn strong pressing
Solid pressing, helluva grinder!
Dat grind.
Well done, strong press.
