I like to avoid artificial sweetners such as aspartame and acesulfame-K. What is acesulfame potassium? Is it an artificial sweetner? I’ve seen it listed as an ingredient in some protein and MRP powders.
It’s an artificial sweetener.
It’s the same as acesulfame-K. “K” is chemistry terminology for potassium.
K is the chemical formula for potassium. Just outta curiousity, why do you avoid artificial sweeteners?
I have decided to avoid artificial sweetners after doing some research about their potential harmful side effects. Whether fact or fiction, I prefer to error on the cautious side. I would rather have a little sugar in my protein or MRP powders that I will burn off anyway lifting weights or doing cardio, than ingest the artificial sweetners that may be harmful over time.
