About to Start T Replacement - Few Questions

Hi Guys,
Im from Australia, so T Replacement is a little hard to come by. I have ended up using an online provider, with an initial prescription of Testosterone Cream. Very nervous about starting and I have a few questions:

1 Has anyone found cream to be effective - everyone seems to be on some sort of injections

  1. Im worried about side effects - I have previously suffered from hair loss and bad Acne when I was younger. If these side effects become too much and I decide to discontinue after 3-6 months, can I get my t levels back to what they were pre TRT, or am I basically past the point of no return

  2. I believe that many of my symptoms point to Post Finasteride Syndrome (self diagnosis). Has anyone used TRT successfully to treat the symptoms of PFS

  3. Has anyone successfully used TRT without having to go onto any of the other drugs to lower Estrogen etc?
    Thanks for your time

Yes, more use injections though.

You can, though with more or less difficulty than others.

Yes.

Yes, most.

out of interest, who is your provider?

thetestoclinic.com.au.

Looked into a couple of others but they seemed to provide the most information and reassurance beforehand

I felt it immediately after application, but the effect after application was too short and would have needed to do dose it several times a day to make it work.

The topical T cream which increases DHT the most can accelerate hair loss, but I think that’s a small price to pay for the health consequences related to low T.

The injectable T doesn’t increase DHT by the degree as the T cream. The injectable T is the most widely used to treat low-T.

Some PFS men do respond to the TRT, but some don’t.

I am on TRT and last time I checked my estrogen it was at 62 and I just increased my dose 20mg and couldn’t care less how high it gets.

Some guys seem to have issues with elevated estrogen, but not everyone does.

thanks mate

Do you mean you need to apply cream more than once per day?

Why does cream increase dht more than injections?

Yes because levels dropped very quickly, twice daily wasn’t enough.

The topical T application is exposed to a high degree of 5-alpha reductase activity in the skin. If you’re going to try the T cream, I would start out applying to the inner thigh, because absorption rates on the testis is way higher (skin 6x thinner than anywhere else) and I would expect higher T (often supraphysiological) and very high DHT at this location.

Don’t be afraid of the DHT because it’s what gives you the biggest mental benefits on TRT. I’ve heard guys talk about how they felt a higher wellbeing and libido on the topical T vs injections.
