“I work my abdominals every day: four sets of about forty crunches, in four different positions to work different muscle groups. I always focus on keeping my stomach sucked in, so the muscles don’t develop bulged-out.” - Marcus Schenkenberg

You have two posts on this forum. One is about your ass, and now this one about your fat stomach. Do you lift weights? Exercise regularly? Do you even consider what gets thrown in your mouth on a daily basis or was logging in here the extent of your effort? If I sat here and typed out exactly what YOU should do to lose fat (only from your stomach), would you actually read it…or skip right over it like you did every article on this forum plus the search engine?
Prof X: Couldn’t put it in better words.
God these guys are spreading pretty fast
Anyway, back to the ab. bulge.
I just finished 3 weeks on the VDiet, and have gotten to around 6% BF
I can say that every part of my body is ripped, save for the gut. There is still a little bulge there, yet if I were to flex my abs, just like everyone said, it would look like the “bulge” wasn’t there.
So, I’d say we just tend to store a lot of fat around the abdominal section. Getting to a low BF will help, yet not eliminate the “problem” (Please don’t ask me to go lower than 6% to test this out…)
So like everything else, just build up a bigger body, don’t put on a lot of fat, and everything will be fine (as long as you suck your gut in)
I’d love to hear everyone’s thought on this
HEY BOYS ANY OF YOU TAKING A COMMMON BULKING SUP CALLED CREATINE??? well their is your answer… i had the same problem until i stopped taking creatine and it dropped off almost automatically

Wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions on this. A little about me first. Im 5’11" and a fairly lean 167 lbs. I’m an ectomorph, yet through T-Nation’s great workouts and diet advice I am up from 117 lbs 18 months ago. I have “bulked” the entire time and my ultimate goal is a lean 200 lbs.
However there is a snag I’ve run into. I have a gut. I don’t beleive it is fat as I cannot pinch more than 1/2 of an inch of skin between my fingers. Also if a flex my abs I have a six pack and my stomach becomes flat. When relaxed I look like a beer swilling slob.
I have done a little research and have seen this can possibly be caused by a weak transverse abdominis (sp?) and/or possibly tight hip flexors (although I’m ignorant of the biomechanics of the last possiblity).
I would love to hear anyones advice or opinions. Thanks.

check out that guy, it goes away after you stop using whatever you are using and start training clean.
that’s called a GH guy…
A bulging lower abdominal region may be due to a food intolerance, dairy and gluten being two common culprits, but it could be anything. If you have a food intolerance, there will be inflammation in the organs of digestion (stomach, small intestine) which are located right where you are bulging out. You can cut out dairy and all gluten containing products for a week or so and see what happens, you might be pleasantly surprised. Rotational diets also work - do not eat the same food within 4 days ie. eat beef on monday and not again till friday.
