While doing Chad Waterbury’s AABH is there any reason to rotate between flat bench press and incline press? Same goes for barbell rows is there any reason to substitute that with cable rows? I have a template that lays out the program for 39 days and the exercises are always the same.
I’m not sure who put the template together so I want to be sure.
There are various reasons to switch it up. Chad recommends doing weighted chins alternated with BB rows and Dips with flat bench. These are very different movement patterns and will stimulate the muscle in different ways as well as stressing the joints and ligaments in different ways.
In terms of using incline vs. flat bench and cable vs. bb rows, there would be some similar advantages, but not to the same extent.

I’m not sure about the template you have. But CW outlines the exercises he recommends in the article and they do change.
