Blaze, my 9 month old God daughter weighs more than you do.
You need to relax. you don’t have to prove yourself, just be here and learn. Also, in regards to your post about squatting, DL’ing, and weighted pull ups for abs. Though for some that does work, you obviously haven’t done that for any length of time. Therefore, the only reason you are saying it is because someone more knowledgeable than you or I said it first. While that can be helpful, you have no need to start arguing. Profile pictures don’t mean anything, this is T-Nation not I’m-better-than-you-becasue-I-have-some-misplaced-
confidence-to-post-pics-on-teh-interwebz-Nation. Keep learning, just like the veterans try to do.

hah you want good ab exercises? deadlift, squat, and pullups. if you dont have the equipment available, THEN do ab isolation bodyweight exercises.[/quote]
I’m gonna have to agree with what the small guy says (",)
Best exercise for your abs hands down…The Squat, quickly followed by the Deadlift and the Pull Up.
If however you think myself and Blaze are lying these are also quite effective ie Hanging Leg Raises, Decline Crunches, Combination Cable Crunch (lie down, feet in straps and bring your knees towards your chest, lifting them hips off the ground in the process.)
PozzSka, i’d initially say your 9 month goddaughter needs serious help, because a 147lb 9 monther is hella fat, proportionally akin to a grapefruit. Overall, i posted from my experiences, not from the opinions of my “betters”.
And me ignoring a rebuff may end up in the OP doing tons of just ab isolation exercises, when the exercises i posted not only work that area thoroughly, but also work you in multiple areas. On a different not, it’s been 7 days and the OP hasnt replied.
you aren’t going to see much without low bodyfat. Just about JUST ABOUT anyone who lifts heavy (deads, squats, standing overhead presses) will have good abs if there bodyfat is low enough.
It’s like the 300 pound women who come into my gym and tell me “I just want to get rid of my tummy”, than get the fuck off that seated crunch machine, get your ass on the treadmill and fix your eating.

DING DING…Ladies & gents we have a winner, enough said!
Yeah, I do not mean to say that dead lifts, squats, etc. don’t work your core-- they do.
But for me, I cannot fully work my abdominal area doing compound exercises. My legs, back, etc. will tire before I get close to working the core like the isolation exercises.
