A Trip down Memory Lane...

After a 4 month bulk in which I put on 15lbs I’ve decided to do an 8 week cut to bring me up to Easter Sunday at which point I’ll re-evaluate things.

I decided to take some photos for comparison further down the line and I had a look at some photos I’ve taken over my training career. The earliest set of photos are almost 6 years old now; I remember them well because before I took them I thought I was in pretty good shape and I remember just being shocked when I saw them.

Looking at these photos makes me wish I had taken more and kept detailed nutrition and training logs; It would be cool to see what I was benching or squatting 4,5 or 6 years ago. That’s pretty much the reason I’ve created this thread. To log the next 8 weeks and hopefully this will get me in the habit for the all the years after as well.

Since I’ll be coming off a bulk the first week is going to be similar training wise to the last 4 months and nutrionally I’m just gonna get rid of all junk food and cut out carbs from my last meal. I figure my BMR is so high at the moment that these small changes should give a 1-1.5lb loss this first week.

  1. I did very little training and alot of drinking while travelling from September 2008-July 2009. After getting home I spent 3 months cutting bf and just getting back into weight training. The bulk started at the beginning of November and ends today. I went from 174-189.
