Well of course you can! As long as your eat your veggies and pray before bed time

Back/bis
Friday 6/17/11

DB row
10x60
10x80
10x100
15x120 (straps)

Meh, I probably could’ve gotten more w/ 120. Cut it short b/c my lower back was iffy. I’ll try and toy around with body position next week to avoid this.

Meadows row
8x25
8x1p
8x1p+25
2x8x2p

First time trying these so didn’t go crazy. Toyed w/ body positioning to ‘feel it’ and will continue to do so. I kinda like these. Hopefully once I ‘feel it’ I’ll be luvin’ 'em.

Wide grip pulldowns
75x12
100x12
125x10
150x6
DROP: 125x6, 100x8, 75xsome

Straight arm pulldown
10x6
10x8
8x10
DROP: 8x8, 12x6, 20x5

I might try these with a straight bar instead of the rope attachment.

Hammer curls
8x30
8x40
8x50
6x60
DROP: 8x30, 12x20

After these I couldn’t go on to do EZ bar preachers.

Decent session. Hoping to kill the rowing next week.

Oh and saw bug w/e.

You could power a Roman trireme with all dat rowing, bro-brah.

Lol, I wish. Frankly my back/bis are oh so weak :frowning:

Swole back session.

BB training…

Nice Hammer Curls!

Not swole enough. BB training? Sure. But I’m just telling myself that training my back will help my bench.

Just researched what a Hook Grip was… sounds like you crush the shit out of your thumb? I’m feeling curious and want to try it, but don’t want it to lower my pullin numberz :frowning:

Also. I’m assuming IF = intermittent fasting? not sure if I’m right.

What is the point of it? As in… why starve yourself all day and then go on a full out binge for a few hours?

Hai aqua! I commence a thumb war right now!

Well it does hurt the thumbs, but I’m getting used to it and prefer it over a mixed grip.

IF is intermittent fasting.

Well it is convenient in that I don’t have to bring food wherever I go and I find that I’m more focused while fasted, since I’m not thinking about food.

I wouldn’t do justice to explaining the point of IF so I’d suggest you check out this site: http://www.leangains.com/2010/04/leangains-guide.html

Very well then, goood sir.

Word.

Read up on it but some aspects aren’t clear to me. Do you eat like that on off days as well?
Also, I can’t really see myself wolfing down 4,000 kcals if I start eating at 2pm and stop at 9pm. It’s hard enough to do in a 14 hour period…

Are you using this approach to lose fat or will you be eating like this all the time from now on?

Off days are pretty much the same, except cals are kept lower, mainly less carbs. Getting in all the food during the 8 hour window can be a bit of a task at times haha.

Right now the plan is to keep eating this way and see how it goes.

Cool cool, how’s training without much food prior to the session? What does your daily food log look like for training days if you don’t mind me asking?

The first time I did Meadows, I couldn’t get the feel either.
The second time was perfect.

Your IF is interesting.
Sadly I’ll be thinking about food all the time.

I make sure to to break my fast before training, so I always have some food in my belly beforehand. Even then I haven’t really noticed a drop off in performance or feel. Although I’ve heard some people like training fasted and just take bcaa’s until they break their fast.

I don’t mind you asking at all. Although I’m almost ashamed to say that I really don’t log my food. I can’t tell you my macros or cals. But I always a lot of eat dead animal flesh, have my carbs around my training, and just eat clean.

I’m hoping to get a better feel for the Meadows rows come my next session. Thankfully I’ve gotten used to the fasting, I usually just keep busy with school stuff. But on weekends it kinda sucks.

Ha no shame in that. It’s a lot of work to keep track of it all… I didn’t start doing it until recently, because I got tired of not making as much progress as I could. Dead animal flesh is the way to go!
