A Strong Squat, Brutal Bench Press, Dauntless Deadlift, and Massive Military press are as easy as 5/3/1

I appreciate the thought =)

Yay for curling! Get that up to 135 x 6 and then we will talk. Also, after doing a couple sets with good form on DB curls, don’t be afraid to push the weight a little bit sometimes. xoxo.

I’m making it my goal to actually notice a difference between my relaxed and flexed bicep. I will definitely be pushing the weight <3

After having a workout for 4 days straight I thought I’d be more fatigued. With the exception of my hammies and lower back being tired on Wednesday (DL day) from Monday’s squatting, I felt well recovered.

Overall a pretty good session. I enjoyed the CTesque pressing volume. Had a brainfart during shrugs but whatever haha.

Next week I start having a back/bi day, can’t wait to kill the back and bis with volume.

Perty sexy lookin session sir.

Thank you very much

Are you still following 5/3/1 or are you moving on to CT’s plan now then?

Still doing 5/3/1, but sorta using CT’s ideas for the assistance.

Damn Mister, you put in some work. Awesome PRs.

Ooh back and bis. You turning into a BBer.

Why thank you kindly ma’am

Eh, I dunno if I’d go so far as to say I’m turning into a BBer haha.

5/3/1, 1 Week, Day 1
Sunday 5/29/11

Squat
somexsomex135
5x190
3x215
10x245 (wanted to save something for the heavier weight, vid)
1x275
3x315 (oddly the 3rd rep felt the best, felt more controlled on the way down, vid)

Front squat
3x205
3x200
3x195
3x205
3x200
3x195

Based on last month’s and today’s attempt at heavier weight, I’ve realized that I really shouldn’t up the weight. When I do so I feel drained afterwards, more mentally than physically. This makes it harder to focus on the rest of the session. I’ve also noticed that my lower back fatigues faster than my legs. For the next month or two I’ll switch front squats to regular squats.

Solid triple man. You may end up being more of a squatter than you are a bencher. Although, it does seem a little counterintuitive to do a high rep set before a heavy attempt, but who cares as long as your setting PRs, right?

Appreciate man. I most certainly wouldn’t mind be decent at squatting haha. Yeah, I’ve learned my lesson about going up in weight after doing higher reps.

Oh BTW, do you need an invite from another member of the BOI to get into it?

Good lookin skwatz there man! Looked like they were pretty easy
