A friend of mine just turned 49 and he’s one of the few who has done everything right his whole life. Diet is 100% on point, dedicated gym rat that lifts smart and doesn’t miss many days and he usually looks like a UFC welterweight on weigh in day. He said time caught up with him and he’s not getting results like he used to and wants to try something to help out, but he has a few rules: No pinning, no C-17 orals, and nothing requiring a pharmaceutical PCT. He’s always emailing me links to supplement companies that look like scams. I told him his natural limits have been reached and he’d need something to break past them. Any advice? I suggested MK-677 for a few months, but I don’t know how effective that would be for him.
If he has all of those conditions then he’s not really gonna be able to take anything worthwhile.
Has he gotten his hormones checked?
Yeah, he said the Dr. suggested he stop creatine for a while, but he’s healthy as hell. The guy looks like most of us want to. I just think age has him fighting himself.
He needs a new Dr.
I doubt that.
Dr told him that prolonged high dose use of creatine will strain his kidneys.
He’s in the best shape of all the people I know, and 100% natty. I don’t get what he’s going for. He’ll be 50 soon, just maintain at this point.
What is the criteria to be called high dose use of creatine?
Right.
Im doubling down on my prior comment.
yeah that seems reasonable, or maybe something like Ipamorelin/Tesamorelin, those are the only ones I’ve had any success with.
How about things like SLUPP332 for energy/fat loss?
He didn’t elaborate. He probably told the Doc he’s been taking it for years and the Doc was just doing some CYA.
He’s against pinning. He was leaning towards trying 1 or 4 Andro, but I told him he’d need a pct after that. Thanks for the help, but with his stipulations, I think he’s gone as far as he can. I told him to try Cernos gel like 2x/day for a while and just take an OTC PCT afterwards to see if that would break his ceiling.
Now, I should state that I never took more than 7 or 8 grams of creatine ever, but mostly 5 grams a day. I started in the mid-1990’s when Bill Phillips offered creatine as a product called Phosphagen. I have taken it ever since, with the exception of a year off when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
In other words, I have taken creatine for about 30 years.
I couldn’t get my head around that one. I’ve never heard of anyone suffering kidney issues from creatine and it’s by far the most popular sup. I add it to my mini blast for about 6mos/year, but I think I’m gonna add it to my daily sups, at least 3 grams/day.
Lol get a new doctor
Had a girl tell me her doctor told her to up her grains, veges and fruits to get a “balanced” diet while she’s battling serious inflammatory issues
Sounds like one of those homeopathic aroma therapy gurus, lol! We had a TRT/hormone clinic open up in our area recently, I’m gonna tell him to look into that. I’ll bet her doc didn’t say squat about TB500 or BPC157.
I actually had an issue a few months back. Was taking 5mg/day and switched pre Wo and it also had 5mg in to so I was taking 10mg most days. My egfr dropped pretty significantly until I ceased using it all together. Now all is good.
4mg is fine for me but anything more is a no go.
Was it pretty sudden at 10mg, or did it take a while to notice?
I just happen to be going for bloods. Prob was taking 10mg for a month? Don’t recall.
