A New Animal: JDM135 for 1-2-3-4 plates

And when you get that 3 plate squat, a 4 plate dead is really just a formality.

Here’s hoping! It really should be. I have never, ever chased deadlift poundages seriously, so hopefully there are “beginner gains” on the table when I shift my focus there.

I’m absolutely confident that once you squat 3 plates, a 4 plate deadlift is probably weeks away.

Forget the 385 we want to hear more about the hot girl, or at least @Cyrrex does :joy:

I try to avoid being creepy. But honestly I wanted to just tell her how awesome it was she could move that kind of load. But generally I don’t speak, and try not to pay attention to, any of the girls at the gym. They are all smokin’ and extremely hard working but I assume they could easily find it inappropriate if I talked to them. Particularly if I started asking about the pants…

Lmao yes there is a fine line between a compliment and being creepy. I am the silent guy in the gym who doesn’t speak much at all. Some of the regulars guys and girls who I see often will say hello to me but most people don’t. I must look grumpy :joy:

Back when I was using the gym, I regularly wished there was a way to do this without coming across as creepy. Too old for that shit now though, I’ve definitely crossed the creepy threshold.

Thanks man.

There is always one more rep in there somewhere.

Smashing food all day, here’s what I remember:

Breakfast:
5 eggs, spinach, HWC in coffee

Protein shake, half gallon milk (reduced sugar, whole fat)
Can of praline pecans

Lunch: 2/3lb ish ground beef
Whole package of cottage cheese (56g protein)

Dinner: buncha chicken thighs, English muffin slathered in butter, one dos equis (dont judge lol, I have reasons)

This may be just breakfast for some here. But for me it’s an insane amount. Here’s hoping it works.

Lots to say but don’t have time to sit down and write everything, so here’s item 1.
I wore this awesome shirt to the gym today:

And I never skip egg day:

More later.

So that “spitballed” programming worked out perfectly. Now to figure out the next 3-6 weeks. Suppose I could repeat it 10lbs heavier? Or maybe a bit of a “break” without losing too much momentum. Not sure what that would look like.

Didn’t bother bench pressing today. Was short on time once squats were done. Plus dips are overrated.

Want to do more farmers walks but, again, time.

Tried single leg press instead of BSS just to break the routine. Interesting.

The curls felt good and my elbow didn’t complain.

I’ve had knee pain, which started during front squats on Saturday. Will monitor.
