Just catching up. Nice work
I did it. Video to follow when i get a chance.
Come on we want to see it
@simo74 and @T3hPwnisher
On the third go, i managed to stabilize it and keep it up, but i was happy with the first to attempts. Now i have the confidence to do this, i expect to get a lot more use out of the bag.
Did several rounds with the 100lb bag before and after this.
Damn that bag looks heavy. You did a great job mate. I will let @T3hPwnisher comment but it looks like you could pull the bag closer to you when you lap it. As you bring the hips up you are closing the gap but the bag isn’t moving. It seems you are missing a bit of hip drive to help get it moving.
I expected too see a happier look on your face once you shouldered it.
Serious effort, great work, not been checking in much but great to see you still consistently getting after it and making great progress. Also makes me a little envious, jealousy sand purchase incoming! (Got a bag with capacity just not filled it…yet)
Ill tell you this: 150lbs to 200lbs is a BIG jump. If you’re filling just one bag, you may want to ease into it a bit.
I’ve got 3 bags, 50kg, 75kg, and a flexible one I can fill up to 125kg, I’ll take it in stages on the flexible, need to be a bit cautious with the back still. But for today’s lunch break I think I’ll go through the 50 & 75kg around!

Really wanted to get a video of the attempt, but the gym is undergoing remodel and everything’s packed together. It would have invaded people’s privacy. In fact while squatting I had two people walking on treadmills facing me, directly in front of me, no mirror or even a target to lock my eyes on.
To be honest the rep wasn’t even hard, it was all mental. I’m ready for 315.
Band pullaparts between sets of squats
SLDL 3x8 135, 185, 235 and should have just done high reps with low weight. That set at 235 was all lats and back, couldn’t focus on my hams.
Tried the hack squat machine, don’t know what I’m doing there but it’s something new.
2 sets of horribly painful leg extensions. This was on a Nautilus machine I’d never used before. It took about 30 seconds to figure out why it’s called Nautilus.
There’s a cam with a spiral OD that changes the loading as the ROM changes. I assume it’s set to maximize quad hypertrophy on that machine, holy moly.
Somehow had never been aware of that before.
well done. congrats.
Amazing, I have been checking in every day or two expecting to see this. You should give some thought to bumping up the TM soon (295?), but you may want to ‘prove it’ to yourself a couple times.
I think you are going to learn a lot about truly bracing yourself, and your numbers are going to continue to go up.
Thank you sir @Cyrrex . Yes it’s been a good few weeks.
I’m trying to see myself as a stronger person, and “be that which does” as per @T3hPwnisher .
The guy which does squat 315, drinks egg whites straight out of the carton. Doesn’t fear the 200lb bag on his shoulder. And many, many other things.
LOL my wife was DISGUSTED when she caught me with the egg whites… I didn’t respond. At least she didn’t express concern over salmonella or something.
To be fair to your wife, I’m a little disgusted.
You should be!
Stopped at the grocery after the gym and bought a half gallon of reduced sugar whole milk (mootopia) and 32oz of egg whites. They are inside me now.
I have to be sneaky with the milk because my wife is allergic to milk protein, so i drink it at work.
My gods, I wish I could get my hands on whole milk, I love it. Best I can get in this country is 3%. Might just start drinking cream.
Where do you live? Assumed the Neander Valley due to age…
I think whole here is 3.5%. I doubt its actually whole.

never knew. thought it was 100%
I think if it was 100 %, it would just be a brick of fat.
I live in Denmark
