What would be the effects of about 10g of soy protein a day in a person’s diet? Would it be that counter productive?
Couple things.

No one is totally sure as of yet as far as I know, but, I am not going to take the chance due to the studies out as of yet.

depends on the source. Are we talking whole soy, Tofu, something sligthly processed, or an isolate form. The isolates being VERY common and the worst.
Either way I wont take them in on a daily basis, and I steer clear of soy isolate in totality.
Hope that helps,
If you do go ahead with it keep us informed on how it goes over the next few months/years. LOL

Certain death.
According to this anti-soy advocate I interviewed, keep it under 36 grams per day:
Nipples will undoubtedly sprout on your testes and your penis will recede to resemble a clitoris.
Or you could just…not ingest it and get whey or other such non-soy protein.
I don’t avoid soy like the plague, but I don’t supplement with it. If a girl wants to get sushi, I’m not going to push the soy sauce away and say, “Bane of my existence, get that estrogenic trash away from me!” I’ll eat it, and enjoy myself. If I have reasonable options, I do avoid soy as much as possible.
If you’re thinking about soy milk, bars with soy protein isolate in them, tofu burgers or some whacky crap like that, where there is a higher T version, I’d say steer clear just in case.
