A Few Training Questions

Hey ya’ll sorry to bother you guys with this but i just had a few ? i wanted to know the answers to. First I am about 6’1" roughly 185lbs at a lower bf (not sure what exactly) i started lifting fairly seriously two years ago. Anyway as a college student my progress really slacked and so now i am pissed and trying to do things right. I am following the massive eating diet fairly closely starting last week.

My questions are what program would you all recomend? (i did do abbh but lacked much results probably due to poor diet)

Secondly i can deadlift alot more than i can squat (both kinda low 3705 or 6 for the DL and about 2754 squat) i read somewhere that people built like me (Long arms/legs) get better results on a leg press, is this true? Cause i have never used one, not having one easily accesble. And finaly any tips on staying motivated would be great, having gotten pretty sick, then pulled my groin then the gym shut down for a few weeks all really screwed me up last semester but i would like to break 200lbs by the end of the year. If you all think it would help or something i could post a pic or two. Anyway thanks alot.

Try any training program from Chad Waterbury, and read the articles by Dan John. I’d stick with the squats and deads over a leg press machine. You will probably always be able to dead more than you squat.

So in your opinion Chad Waterburys programs are better/more effective than say Ian King or Charles Poloquins? And also i noticed that both Ian and Charles use time under tension alot in their programs while Waterbury states that it is counterproductive, just curious as to what the reason for that are.

sup, im am 16 going to be 17 in November i weigh 180 excatly i can bench 260 once and leg press about 500. But i am now gettin that many gains. ALthough i eat like a freakin monster mostly protein im not see that many gains anymore. Should i take something?

You definitely need to take something.

I am 48 going on 49. My suggestion is be patient. You are a young man. Meaning your body and all of its systems will change. I say keep your work out fun so that you will do it for the rest of your life.
