A 'Crappy' Introduction

Hi Im Grute and have chronic diarrhea. Does anyone know of any supplements to help this?

It’s driving me nuts. About 9 years ago, it started and wouldn’t stop. I lost about 50 lbs and was down to about 135 (I’m 5’ 10".) I’ve been to about a dozen doctors and the only ones that helped were this alternative medicine guy (who was very expensive) and this cute little nutritionist. With their help, I gained that 50 lbs back. I eat NO fast food and nothing fried. I always try to keep the sugars and salt low as they tend to upset the apple cart too. Some vegies like onions and green peppers are nuclear gut bombs. It seems like the list is getting longer of what I can’t eat.

Should I just go to a high red meat, cheese and white bread diet?

Sorry for the gross topic but I need help. Thanks.
Grute

Try some reverse psychology…take in lots of senna, dandelion and marshmellow root.

K well on serious note, my best piece of advice would be to maybe try taking in large amounts of soluble fiber. I know this sounds counterintuitive because its fiber but the soluble stuff absorbs tons of water thus making a harder stool. Psyllium husks are 90% soluble fibre and about 10$ for a lbs bag

I’ve read that green tea is good for diarrhea. Green tea has been proven to kill “bad” bacteria in the digestive tract such as Bacillus cereus and Aeromonas sobria while actually increasing the amount of “good” bacteria such as bifidus and acidophillus.

I don’t know if the bacteria thing is what helps with diarrhea, but I’d say it’s worth a shot. You only need a small amount to recieve these benefits, maybe a cup or two a day. Have you tried cheese and chocolate?

I’ve tried using cheese in excess and it has helped but chocolate? I can tolerate chocolate in small amounts and infrequently. Too much at once and its all over.

Thanks for the tips; I’ll be sure to try them and any more are welcome.
