Warm up 15 minutes elliptical and mobility. I threw in the wall things pressing my chin into my neck as well as shoulder dislocations.
I’ll just start this off with the fact that right now, my hips think I’m a complete and total cunt.
Squat

With the working sets there was more than 10 seconds between the doubles. I timed it so there was about 7-8 seconds from the time I racked the bar until the time I got under it again. However, by the time I set up and ran through my mental check list, it was quite a bit longer than 10 seconds. Most reps were good but I have a lot of work. As I got more fatigued, I could feel my neck extending out instead of tucking back in. There was a bit of knee caving near the end as well and I was forgetting to drive my elbows. By tucking my chin in I could feel my chest push out and my back kind of grab the bar more. I don’t know if that makes sense. A little while ago I couldn’t have done that volume at that weight so I’m pleased with that.
But, like mentioned above, my hips feel like I’ve been ridden hard an put away wet.
I’ll be doing the same Sunday morning.

I had no idea what weights I should use on the last two since I’d never done them before.
I almost forgot. I was able to use my elbows against my legs as depth indicators but that will take a lot more practice as well.
Also, my face was glowing tonight but more in a stroke victim kind of way.
It sounds like your scapular are retracting
and helping form a base for the bar…

I think I was ‘approached’ by a guy at the gym tonight.
Now he didn’t offer to lick anything inappropriate but still. Unfortunately it was while I was squatting so I may have told him to fuck off. He was futzing around in the rack next to me and said “Hey there, heavy squatting tonight?” Now I’m not sure if I actually said fuck off or just thought it. Regardless I think I gave him a look because he did, in fact, fuck off.
Too bad he didn’t wander by during zottman curls.

I checked myself in the mirror. It looks good for depth. Good point about red lights on the contact. I’ll have to check. If you didn’t get red lighted for resting your hamstrings on your calves then I can’t see the problem
It’s more of a brush against them.
In USAPL, incidental contact of the knees and elbows is okay, but a red light if it assists the lift.

I can see from your avatar that your elbows are far down and forward. I’d noticed it before but always figured it was idiosyncratic like your fucked up thumbless grip.
