So this morning I was woken up by the police at my door. They are looking to arrest my tenant.
I think he may have killed his girlfriend. At the very least, they’ve had some sort of ‘domestic’ thing. I guess she’ll stop trying to live here.
Not to sound heartless but the only thing going through my head is, the rent is due Sunday and if he goes to prison, what am I supposed to do with all his shit?

Speaking of homemade protein bars, I got all the ingredients yesterday. I’m flying late tonight but plan on mixing some up, along with cocoa powder, tomorrow. I have some almond butter, I might try it with that.

I told the police story to a co-worker. I mentioned that my tenant has two cats. “Well,” she says “if he goes to prison, your girls can have a couple of new cats”.
After my unusual wake up call, I went to the chiro. He made me squeal like a little girl. Mind you, with his hand in my groin, it’s the closest I’ve come to a date in a while.
Apparently my left ass cheek is weak. My hips are still loose and my glutes aren’t firing properly. The pain in my quads are from them over compensating.
The reason my squats sucked ass is due to the lack of glute fireage. Coming out of the hole is precisely when they should be taking over. I have a shit load of exercises to do. Some I’ll do between sets of squats to help activate my ass. I’m also supposed to wear my belt a bit lower for a while to catch the top of my iliac crest to keep my hips together.

I saw him this morning too. His comment was “I think it’s funny how our relationship has advanced that you just take off your pants in front of me.” He meant that I go in and strip down to shorts so he can work on my hips… I think he was hoping for more haha.

Honestly, I wanted to go home after trying to squat. When I was doing good mornings, I tried to squat with the bar a few times and it hurt my quads and groin. Even benching hurt when I was trying to set up.
Right now I’m icing my quads and groin and trying not to cry. I’m calling the chiro again tomorrow to see what he can do. Nationals are 5 weeks away and I don’t think I’ll do well if I can’t squat the bar.
I called my chiro this morning. I’m still icing all my painful parts which is both my quads and my groin on my left side. I’m to continue with the glute activation exercises he recommended. In addition, I’m to walk; long strides with swinging arms. I did that this morning in the rain. I could feel it stretching. Also, I’m not do any squatting for the time being.
This morning I talked to my tenants lawyer. His lawyer looks after his disability but called to let me know he would be paying his rent and to ask if I could feed his cats while he is in jail.
The story is that his psycho girlfriend says he beat her up last Monday evening, 9:30 at his place. I said that’s a load of crap. If I can hear them talking, I would have heard something like that.
I told him he could have the Crown call if they have any questions.

First off, it’s Court…
That is absolutely hilarious… in a really messed up way, but I still find it funny. At least you’ll only have one tenant again hopefully. Altho who knows…she’ll likely be back in there 2 days after he gets out of jail.
Sucks to hear about the squats! Offer him sexual favors to make you feel better. You’ll likely have to practise first. I suggest a banana

His girlfriend is Court? Boy she sure looked a lot different squatting outside my back door smoking looking like a bag lady. He might not have smacked her but I could do it.
I’m not surprised that’s the story. I find the tenant irritating as hell but I don’t see him doing anything like that. Plus I want the rent.
Offer sexual favours? You must have missed the part where I’m barely motivated to starfish at the moment. However, if I were to hone the old oral skills, he’d be the one to benefit. I’ve spent the morning at work with an ice pack alternating between my groin and quads and I went for a speed walk at lunch.
I do have a date tomorrow. I keep forgetting his name and his particulars. He probably thinks I have so many guys on the go I can’t keep them straight. Between the cat dying, the cops at the door and my squat issues I don’t have brain space for the names of guys. Plus I have to help Claudia build a magnetic car for school.
I went back through my old logs to see the point at which my lock outs began to suck ass. It was just after I started high volume, low rest bench. Everything I’m doing is still 60 seconds between sets.

I stopped at 20 because I felt it pulling in my quads. I got this crazy notion that I wasn’t having the problem with my quads until I stared weighted sit ups. In fact I started noticing it after I did weighted decline situps a little while ago. The bench thing wasn’t adjustable and my feet weren’t fully flexed. I felt more pulling in my quads than my abs and they were painful the next day. No doubt it’s a crazy notion but who knows.

For the next 4 days I’m staying out of the gym to rest and recover a bit. I’m going to focus on power walking, stretching and activating my recalcitrant glutes. I’ve gone walking 5 times since yesterday morning and that seems to have alleviated the pain in my quads more than anything. The first time I could really feel it stretching in my hips and quads. I’m hoping a small rest will help.
We met for coffee. I talked a mile a minute and he had a deer in the headlights look. Then we went for a walk in one of the local conservation areas. I took a cool picture that I’ll post later. I was totally ill-equipped for the walk I’d suggested. He ended up loaning me his gloves.
He went home to feed and walk his dogs but will be back later to go see a movie.
He must not get out much. I was in full-on gregarious mode and kept telling myself in my head to shut the fuck up.
No one’s getting head though. I’m on my 4 day rest phase. I don’t want to fuck up my squat any more than it already is. Priorities and all that
However just so you know, we’re not accepting this “quad pain” and “can’t squat” as an excuse if you come back from Moosejaw without a squat record. So you might as well just get it sorted out now, because you are going to tear up the platform in Moosejaw!
