After thinking about the situation to at least some depth, I came to the same conclusion. Extremist religious beliefs are incompatible with 1st world western type countries and their values.
I think that a softening of religion will happen, not only in this region, but everywhere. I think access to information from around the world will lessen extremism over time. I also think generally if standard of living improves religion tends to decline (lots of examples of this happening elsewhere).
The issue is I think it will take a lot of time. Decades likely. Likely a long build up to a tipping point type of thing. The tipping point would likely be the point in which a government with secular values takes over. Possibly a country like Iran going back to a secular government could speed things up if it goes well.
I used to share your view, but after learning more about history and experiencing the secularization of society it became clear to me that extremist religious views are why we have western civilization in the first place.

Before 1948 the british mandate of Palestine didn’t encapsulate “Palestinians” … it was a diverse network of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Before Oct 7 a record number of Gazans had work permits where they came into Israel to earn a normal wage that would put them in the upper class of Gazans because employment prospects in Gaza are so poor… same was present in the west bank. Things were finally looking up… now this war that was started by Hamas has taken any shred of hope for peace and set it back by at least a decade

Having hit puberty doesn’t mean you are at an appropriate age to be impregnated. In my country there are laws to prevent sexually active young people from being charged with sexual assault. Romeo and Juliet law in my state allows for one aged 12+ to consent to having sex so long as the partner isn’t more than two years older or younger (and no one is below the age of twelve).
Age sixteen is the age you can legally have relations without barriers where I live. A grown man having sex with a sixteen year old girl is still considered a creep due to the gap in maturity.

The same legal age for marriage is fifteen for boys. Women can get married younger than nine with a court order. Statisticslly most marriages involving a nine year old include a husband that is more than 3x older than the girl… and even 15… there is a HUGE difference between nine and fifteen. Iran isn’t the only country where child marriages occur.

Having a period doesn’t mean you are ready to have sex even if you can be impregnated. Maternal mortality rates are higher for teenagers relative to women in their 20s. From a biological perspective mid 20s is the optimal time to give birth. And if you are nine… even if you’re going through puberty the maternal mortality rate c section or no c section is just absurdly high as ones skeletal structure is still reminiscent of a childs.
