Maybe. Haven’t paid any attention either of them. I really can’t bring myself to care about who my vice president is, haha.
I just think those things are dumb - have your opinion, but making pictures with dumb statements or opinions and then thinking they mean anything is…dumb.
Thank you. I hadn’t known what a parable is, my bad - I didn’t mean to insinuate that it didn’t happen.
Now that I do know what a parable is, I would not apply that word to Jesus’ (as) stories unless he (as) specified that they had not in fact happened
In this case it includes Jesus (as) so that’s not even a question, but in general I would guess the word is overused
Your quote says “avenge not yourselves”. Does this relate to individuals only, or also Christian groups?
I looked up vengeance and retaliation and wrath. I would have usually thought wrath is a more extreme word, but I guess there is a way of putting it all together to say to respond with something of a smaller magnitude if at all.
This way in a back and forth if the other side were to retaliate, it would eventually stabilize to zero
Does that sound about right?
You had stated earlier that you are Spock like and choose your language with careful precision, etc.
Did you really mean to say that Islam is bringing in the kingdom?
Or did you mean to say that Islam is mistakenly trying to do the impossible?
I don’t expect you and I to come to an agreement on this, and I don’t believe that you need to.
Matthew 7:15-20 indicate to keep an eye out for false prophets, but if you look closely you might notice a hint and implication that there are one or more true one(s) to watch for as well.
If you watch(ed) the video clip I referred to, its hard to image someone sitting in that room and understand the person referenced as a non flesh and blood human
And I won’t even torture you with a long winded “word salad” designed to almost just barely touch the possibility of saying “yes” without actually saying anything definitive, this time.
maniacal laughter
Seriously though. Would you in general prefer the opportunity to take back untruth(s) that you’ve put out into the universe, or would you rather not be bothered and just leave them like that?
One could argue that every moment presents such an opportunity, but how about if some weirdo on the internet went ridiculously far out of his way to show you and you could just be like - “yeah, I take that back”?
In my own version of my own story I have been the good guy before and I have been the bad guy before and I am trying to transition to awesome. Being confused for terrible is not much of a concern but it’s lost it’s appeal as well.
