We heard you like superheroes, so we put a superhero in your superhero so he can fight crime while he fights crime.

I want to know where that guy buys suits because I can’t find a dress shirt that fits well for shit. I also can’t find a tailor willing to take off the needed material to make a drastic v-taper. It’s like they can’t comprehend needing to take that much off.
I need a tailor who actually fits bodybuilders/football players.
/tangent.

Ok, the black person in question:
Donald Glover
The guy from Community, a writer on 30 rock, and a pretty funny comedian. If you’ve seen him on television, he’s pretty funny. He has the wit to be Spider-man. He has the physical build to be Spider-Man. Now as for the range of acting sad…I’m not sure.
He’s petitioning to audition for it and is a pretty good choice.
I read Danny Glover when I first saw this… damnit.
He’s too old for this shit.
Gold!

I think right now Eddie Murphy is just in it for the money, I watched that horrid excuse for a movie “Meet Dave” and it made me examine my life. The question i kept asking myself…“what has my life come to?” & “Why does Hollywood not put this dude out to pasture?” After Pluto Nash you would think that the movie studio would have sent out a lynching party and sold his kids on the black market to make back some of their money.
He needs to get back to making movies for adults something rated R for christ sake.
Beverly Hills Cop is probably in my top 5 favorite movies, and Coming to America is probably top 20. Shit, I even liked The Golden Child. But, I think Murphey’s last even remotely decent flick was Boomerang, and that’s obviously not on the level of BHC or Coming to America. It’s kind of sad when you realize one of the guys you looked up to as a kid peaked when you were that kid.

Just goes to show how fucking ignorant you are.
Everybody knows Black Santa is from the South Pole.
Wasn’t there a version of Green Lantern who was a black guy? I know that wasn’t always the case, but somewhere along the line that was the case. I know very little about the back story of Green Lantern, though. I just know I’ve seen that.

Its a different Green Lantern, the original white one is Hal Jordan, the black one is John Stewart his successor. There are hundreds of Green Lanterns of various alien species.
We need more white people playing black people like in Tropic Thunder. I’m sure that’ll settle everything.

I’m glad you’re one of the few people sensible enough to see that blacks are an alien species.

Yeah man. And everyone knows God is white.

And male.
On topic, I don’t really care. It may be good to keep characters similar to the comics, but the actor can be of any ethnicity as long as they do a GOOD JOB in the role they play. IE. Downey Jr. plays an excellent Iron Man.
I found it quite amusing that they got an actor renowned for substance (just alcohol?) abuse to play a comic character who has serious alcohol abuse issues.
The newish run of iron man comics is def. Downey in the way he has the quick wit - i’ll have to go back and see how the character was portrayed in comics before the movie came out - probably the same i think.
Black spiderman?? - Don’t care - at this point i’ll settle for a GOOD spiderman. I just wanna see a lot of comic book movies.

Blasphemy!! Manchurian Candidate, Hurricane, Malcolm X and Training Day, 4 different performances right there.
Also: Pacino and Deniro aren’t as dynamic as everyone thinks they are.
