Look I am not vehemently apposed to it because of the subject of homosexuality. I am apposed to it because it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in regards to comic movies. When they wanted to reboot the Ryan Renolds failed attempt at Green Lantern as a gay man I had no issues, because he comes out in the comics.
I was flipping out when they spilled rumors about not killing Gwen Stacy. Gwen Stacy needs to die, and MJ needs to be the love interest. Don’t fuck with spiderman just because being the topic of homosexuality is in the spotlight these days. Having Parker not be in love with MJ is changing the entire concept of Park/Spiderman dynamic. No fucking bueno.

Yeah I actually had to think for a while to find a couple that I could twist, that I even needed to twist.

but seriously I don’t think its edgy or new, I don’t think having a gay superhero makes a statement or appeals to audiences, especially one that is a classic. If you want to create a new gay super hero, fine, fantastic even but don’t queer an old one.
Im concerned with how bad in the article Andrew is pushing for a gay spiderman. I think the filming of the last movie was better but the him as spiderman was bad. Tobey was good only once. After that it was down hill. When they cast topher as venom I threw a fit.
This remake/ remodel shit of super heros is getting old and we haven’t even gotten started. Yes there have been some fantastic reboots, Batman, Superman but stay in the fucking lines, don’t go coloring rainbows outside of em because you think it looks pretty.
Grace as Eddie Brock was the single worst casting decision in any super hero film yet. I mean there aren’t just that many large muscled types in Hollywood right now, at least a guy that could have remotely been an athlete at some point in their life.

Why does this generation of Americans feel they have the right to go against our fathers and grandfathers way of thinking? Don’t try to compare it to beliefs in slavery. More than half of the country was against slavery and not everyone in the south owned slaves.
