903@242 Single Ply Bench

Shit…

Amazing. Really insane. Is this the heaviest junior bench ever?

I always wonder how much of a difference it makes when done single ply WABDL vs single ply IPF.

Does anyone have any experience with how much it changes when there is the legal head lift, lower touch and hells off the floor??

The real question is: Is he aesthetic and bangable?

trololol

Awesome lift!

Yeah, imagine him once he’s old enough to grow a power beard.
Ah shit - didn’t think of that. The +200 lbs to all your lifts power beard will serve him well!

How much those things change is highly individual. Just because a fed allows you bench on your toes, doesn’t mean that is the best set up for you. I compete in multi-ply, but feel I get no leg drive on my toes. Others are different.

the press command in WABDL is generally more kind than IPF. That is probably the biggest advantage. this is a beastly lift in any federation

Jesus mother of fuck.

I wanna know what his raw bench is. Even if he gets 300lbs out of a single ply shirt (which would be absurd), that’s still a 600 raw bench.

Fuck me running. Well, it’s official. I am now a pussy.

Cheat code is up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, A, B, Select, Start

I wish I could select “God Mode” in the gym too. Bastard.

I wish all feds would let you bench on your toes if you want to. It’s just a different technique, it doesn’t make the lift any easier.

I’m not going to comment on the video because it makes me want to cry.

When I heard about this I was expecting to see something silly like a guy with a 4" ROM. This is just legit brute strength. He could hit 1000 in the juniors.
this was what i was thinking…

i wonder what his raw bench is like

I think I’m going to quit lifting and take up knitting as my new hobby.

better view

Even if he does get 300lbs out of the shirt that is still a 600 raw bench, that part blows my mind. This dude will probably become one of the best powerlifting coaches ever if he chooses to go that route, that’s an unheard of amount of pull out of a single ply shirt when you aren’t 4 feet tall his arch doesn’t even look particularly large, some people are just born to bench I guess but his mastery of the shirt is exceptional in addition to his being freaky strong.

When I think single ply bench shirt, I usually think between 100 and 200 pounds. 300 seems a bit ridiculous for single ply, but It could be possible. Either way this is one of the most impressive lifts I’ve ever seen, and I’m sure his raw bench would be equally as impressive.

What is the single ply record? I was under the impression single ply added 75 to 100 lbs at best. -this is equivalent to benching 800 raw???

Am I missing something?

Singly-ply shirts are stronger now than they used to be.
