80's music....

Vanilla Ice…the only time he made me laugh even more than from his career was when he played the role of a CD music shop helper and turned out acting like a bouncer. When I saw him in the credits, I had to look back at the scene, since Skreetch had beefed up.

I think the movie was The New Guy, which is a top 10 favorite of mine in the humor category. Elisabeth Dushku doing the bikini scene did help a bit. Oh well, another plot-useless, sexy, scene. ;0)

I am on the opposite end of the charts on this one, favorite 80’s bands: The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, The Clash, B-52’s, The Ramones, and the late 80’s NIN.

let the record sho weapon x knows his music. the smiths, krs 1, the cure, anthrax, the police,u2, steve earl, rem, run dmc, marley mal, dougie fresh, there’s so many, i’ll have to holler back when they come to me.
peace, flash

Been keepin’ my head down a bit lately (haven’t had enough time as of late to get into some of the crazy political arguments like I used to), but I’ve been around. I’m always lurking . . .

“Where have all the good times gone?”

– Na-na, na- na-na, na- na-na, na- na-na . . ."

heh…
krs 1
now there’s a name I haven’t seen in years

brings back a time when rap (hip hop or whatever its called nowadays) WAS NOT about gangsta’s, hoes and money…

you mean when rappers were spittin shit that didnt involve the daimonds on their necks or the broads on their arms? there are a few rappers right now [ mos def, nas, talib kweli, last emporer, eminem [underground only, no studio] that have serious lyrical content, but otherwise theyre all popstars.
i dont know how NIN got left off the first 2 drafts? i probably got a couple left in me, just let my mind catch up to my mouth [or hands].
yall be good, flash.

peter gabriel [ dudes got some classics], salt’n’peppa, mc lyte, oingo boingo [for real], ice tea, cube and, love em or hate em, both hammer and vanilla ice went off in the day, but i wont say that outside this forum.
nwa was pretty influential as well.
