8 Hrs of Sleep a Night is 'Unnatural'

Not uninteresting.

actually very interesting

People from that era also lived considerably shorter lives and had way more health problems. All that study shows me is that we’ve evolved accordingly. I will say that I generally get between 5-6 hours and feel great. Any more than that and I feel like shit.

I have heard that less than 8hrs testosterone in a male drops by 10%

So sleeping for 7 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds may drop my testosterone levels by 10%? And does it actually drop my testosterone levels or just reduce my natural testosterone production by 10%?

Ahhh, sweet objectiveness. I’d like to know the mechanisms responsible as well as the overall change in endocrine profile…hehe… oh god…

I go to sleep at 5am and 6pm everyday for ~4hrs total.

DON’T DO IT.

Do tell…are you practicing poly-phasic sleeping?

Also you look pretty awesome in your pic but also like you’re 14. Looks kinda strange. Never seen 14 year olds look like that.

Interesting read, but I don’t buy it.

“Associations with night before the 17th Century were not good,” he says. The night was a place populated by people of disrepute - criminals, prostitutes and drunks."…

"He attributes the initial shift to improvements in street lighting, domestic lighting and a surge in coffee houses - which were sometimes open all night. As the night became a place for legitimate activity and as that activity increased, the length of time people could dedicate to rest dwindled. "… [/quote]

Surely the improvements in lighting facilitated the activity of ‘undesirables’, many of whom no doubt were the same people heading out into the darkness between naps. Modern street lighting hasn’t curtailed a criminal element.

Our natural sleeping patterns are more or less intact. They are synchronized with the seasons.

A messed up sleep pattern is what I am practicing…I will change that though.

And lol I’m not 14. It’s a goofy pic I guess. And shadow magic aside, I still have a lot of mass I need to put on to be awesome.
