Me neither.

show us your stuff! Show us your stuff!

Mainie, I don’t know why I see your avvie and think of Kalle now. I was wondering why Kalle said “sistard” lmao
Anyway yeah, that 70# is a must do. I might do it in the squat rack. Maybe power rack for bonus points =)
I’m allowed to be a douche

Blaze, make my day and do legs with me today!
The cool people in my log motivate me ;D

Nadia, you’re a riot!
And lookie there, you started a riot ;D

K lovers, I whipped it out for ya’ll.

Today was pretty awesome.
It was leg day so of course it was awesome.

Let’s see. First I forgot to go to Sports Authority for straps. Yeah, I’m sucking it up and figure that my grip is really holding back my hamstrings. So ego be damned.

Sports Authority is a 20 minute drive out of my way and I didn’t want to get to the gym any later since I’ll have to fight for the power rack like it was my virginity.

So I went to Wal-Mart (I was desperate because I hate Wal-Mart. Just because of where I live, nothing against the store really) and they didn’t have straps but have something called powerlifting hook grips. I gotta say, this shit is like Straps 2.0. I’m in love. I just put the bar in the hooks that’s attached to wrist wraps, and start reppin’ shit out.
Anyway, ya’ll will see.

Front Squats
Bar x 10, 65 x 10, 95 x 12, 115 x 7
135 x 4 +1 rep PR
135 x 6 Rep PR

Oh and it’s oly grip, hence the PRs. I refuse to give up on the Oly grip dammit!

Zerchers
95 x 12, 115 x 12, 135 x 12
165 x 5 PR

RDLs
This is where the hook magic comes into play, pay attention lol
135 x 15, 155 x 15
185 x 10, 205 x 7

Vid of 205 x 7

Technically they’re all PRs, except maybe the 135. But I’m not counting it because of the hooks.

Leg Press
6 plates, 8 plates, 10 plates and 12 plates, all for 12 reps
Quads died and had a burial, what can I say.

FST-7
Leg Extensions

FST-7
Prone Leg curl

Tears.

Did 1 tabata of DB swings with 40# DB

Anyway. I had 4 donuts for my insulin spike with milk and creatine.

OH! I also weigh 153 right now. Bre put the goal in my head to get to 153 so according to my BMI, I’ll be considered obese :stuck_out_tongue:

yes, you are very obese looking.

PHAT! Absolutely PHAT!!

Nice boot up there. Nikki is bubble butt queen!

Still stuck on 90 lb DB rows. Holly Hell!

And congrats on all the PRs! You’re kickin’ it!

this is my kinda PWO meal!

and…um…dat ass…just sayin…

i’m such a sucker for the donut/heavy rdl combo.

lol @ ur obesity!

Holy fuck, that pic is way too big. =(

Thanks guys. I love being obese. I want to go to the doctor for absolutely nothing just so they can weigh me and then drop their jaws when they see my vitals. scoff

Hmm those donuts were so yummy! That was the second time I had donuts after training.
I think I’m gonna switch it up tomorrow though and have some zeppoli.

werd on teh phatness

please thank Joe Good for the gift of the word brotard,
now I will thank Kalle for sistard

nice work on the front squats,
big RDL too hook or no hook still big.

mmm doughnuts. thats what i miss about the USA. also dogfish IPA, pizza, and free internet everywhere!!

i didn’t quite see the hooks :frowning: i hear seatbelts make great straps, though. awesome thighs / ass indeed

Heh, been using sistard for a while. My early 20s training was very sistard - no squats and lots of bench. That’s why my rotator cuff is fucked.

And damn, that’s a hell of a rear view!

You’re getting some serious training momentum going here fatty, impressive work.

I watched a few more of your videos and got a laugh out of your pendlay rows BECAUSE… of the guy deadlifting in the background with the same weight you were rowing.

It seems you’re easily influenced by peer pressure (and not much of it at that) to take off clothes and pull out your camera. This pleases me. grin

I never said sistard…

YAY for having a BMI over 30

I like that obese ass haha

Strong workout Nikki

Thanks KMC, the hamstrings definetely don’t feel cheated after the RDLs with the hook so I’m happy.
I just wasn’t moving anywhere because my grip couldn’t hold out (since I don’t do mixed grip for hamstring work) so now I can progress with the hooks.

Alexus, that’s pretty cool about the seatbelt thing.
Thanks =)
And no donuts in Australia? Oh no ;(

Cal, so sistard is a bad thing? Oh boy.

Lol Kris, I never even noticed the guy DLing next to me.
It’s funny how you always catch what the peeps in the background are doing.
Oh yes, I’m a sucker for peer pressure =D

Haha Kalle, I know. Gotta say that your and Mainie’s avvies look similar. Maybe because you’re both DLing?
Oh yes, YAY for increased risk of heart disease lmao
Thanks =)

Ok new page already. I didn’t see that coming so quick pic. I was going to take a pic of my back since I trained back today but it seems that back pics are floating around PW today so accept some yoga… chair pose lol

Today was back and chest

I’ll most likely cut this short and give cliff notes.

Let’s see, started with deadlifts superset with wide pull-ups (feels so amazing to do these with the widest grip unassisted)

Anyway, I was hoping for a 10 pound PR at 275 but fucker didn’t budge.
Failed 275 3 times, stripped down to 265 (failed) then 225 and failed again. Nevermind I did 225 when ramping up.
Oh well, I screamed out “You gotta be fucking kidding me!” when poor other gym-goers were there and put my sad puppy face on.

I did get a pull-up PR of 6 wide grip pull-ups. I swear, the heavier I get, pull-ups are just getting awesome-er.

Next I did neutral grip pulldowns. Used my hooks so got a rep PR of 120 x 15 and 125 x 12.

Did deadstop rows.
PR of 95# x 10

I reviewed the video after the set and saw that my foot was coming up so I made a point to keep my foot down when doing the reps on the left hand. Then I redid the reps on my right hand just so I didn’t cheat myself. My right side is stronger than my left though so I only did about 5 reps with better form. Don’t want to increase the imbalance too much.

Then did straight bar pulldowns FST-7.

Then chest.

DB Incline Presses
35s x 15
40s x 14 rep PR
45s x 10, 9 Rep PR

Incline DB Fly
20s x 10
25s x 12
30s x 12

Did some bench pressing but it sucked.

I also did a new chest FST-7

Push-ups with a 25# plate on my back. That shit was hard. But I kept the plate on for all 7 sets, getting 8-12 reps each set. I think I only did one set with 8 reps, I tried to push through as best as I could. The 7th set was 12 reps. REALLY pushed through.

Did barbell rollouts for the first time courtesty of KMC. They’re awesome.
Did hanging leg raises.

Then did 8 rounds of 12 KB swings (35#) followed by 10 seconds rest. Kinda like a Tabata but going for reps instead of time.

And that’s all folks.

Just saw the RDLs on YouTube, then checked in here and saw the Deadstop Rows. Kick ass all around…but I’ve come to expect that from you.

Speaking of ass…I just noticed I’ve been drooling on my keyboard thanks to those pics. If you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna have to clean that now.

good effort on those rows…not sure if your supposed to use as much ‘back,’ to get it up. It’s hard not to though.
Maybe we should try holding on to the rack next time, like that big boys?

I need to get me some of these hooks…holy schmoley!

Thats has to be my fave nikki ass pic so far…YAHTZEE!

You just DB rowed, more than %75 of the men at my gym! I agree with MIM, holding the rack (the weight rack too) while DB rowing, thats how I feel most comfortable and for some reason it helps with keeping my back strict.

Lol Silentnote, thanks Babe!

MiM, I looked up the form on youtube this morning. The other times I deadstop row-ed(? lol) I braced myself on the bench. After doing DLs, the rows were kinda hard on my lower back.
Is it cheating to do it on the bench?

The hooks didn’t do much in terms of the rows. It did make it easy to carry the weight to my bench though! I hate wobbling with huge ass DBs. But when I did 90# the other day, I was glove-less. It feels cool to use the hooks though! I even used them for the pull-ups ;D

Really, I can’t believe the pic is a hit lol
Thanks Matty, and I’ll hold the rack next time.

As I said, the left arm was a lot better. Then when I redid the right side it was better when I focused. For some reason my left side is weaker in terms of weights, but is more efficient at doing the reps. If that makes sense. Iono.

Congrats on getting into Uni!

Also: 90s for deadstop DB rows, and RDLs with 205?! Someone is doing work in here

All hail the volume queen
