780 Reasons You Should Know Cocoa Espresso

Awesome training! Your hard work is certainly showing in your progress pics.

Sorry to hear about the computer troubles. I ended up skipping Vista and going straight to Windows 7 with my upgrades. Hopefully your HD holds up - that back up was a smart thing to do. Back ups are so easy to do, but easier to neglect.

I forget Nikki, do you take anything pre workout(energy wise?)

Just wanted you to know that you squat for reals what I squat in my dreams. Keep on being awesome!

amen!

Kim, it was a bajillion I tell ya ;D
Thanks Dahlin, your dreams will be reality just now.

LS, don’t even get me started with the Vista dilemma
Ok, I’m started.

I bought Windows 7 from Dell but all 3 uses were already…used. So when they sent me a new motherboard or something because of whatever whatever, I told them to send me one with Windows 7. But they said they can only send me the operating system that I bought it originally as. Which is completely unfair IMO.
I just… I give up =(

MiM, I don’t take anything for energy. But with the Insulin Advantage, I can spike my insulin before training. This morning was french toast with full sugar, Mrs. Butterworth syrup. I also forgot my creatine, so today I just kinda went into the gym with only sugar in my body.

Hiya Deja, gracias <3

What have we here? lol. Nice workout Nikki! Lots of volume, and some very solid #'s on bench and rows.

nice work, that is shit ton of volume

Nice workout, seeing progress on that bench from just a few months ago, I like it.

Strong workout

All this talk of pendlay rows I think I need to try them out tomorrow

Surprised you don’t take any PRE WO stims. I am a zombie all day till I take some 40 minutes before lifting

oh my!!! those bb rows are intense!! i have to try and attempt to get to your status!

oh!
and i’ve thought about your push press troubles, which i doubt is because of strength issues…maybe bar length—the oly bar? i dunno…

i was just thinking that today, if this bar was longer in comparison to me it’d be harder…and i have a good 8 inches on you i think. i dunno.that or you’re just keep the min the cooler to bust out and kill us when you’re ready…

Cherry Dr. Pepper = Most Excellent Pre Workout Stim

Part West Indian + Zena Warrior Princess!

Ok, just to clarify…you have the car door open and are pushing the thing down the street?

Bench press envy.

Hey Nikki how’d those burgers end up turning out?

Sweet front squat. I remember when I first front squatted 135, I was pumped! That was like 3 weeks ago so its easy for me toremember lol

No stims? Seriously? It’s gotta be your youthful exuberance and that unsanitary water you guys have got down there

oh, ok…creatine.

What is your experience like with it so far?

Does your training feel different if you don’t take it?

Thanks!

Damn woman! I’m envious at how awesome your training is. A bajillion excersizes is A LOT! lol. Great work cupcake!

You’re pendlays are improving non-stop. I’ve been kinda shy to ask, but when you started these, did you use 25lb plates and if so, was it awkward to put on the floor? Part of my problem with the pendlays is that I’m only repping 85lbs and the plates are small, so for me to get them on the ground its kinda awkies. Either I have to bend my legs a lot, or I have to use an extra mat…any pointers? Maybe I just need to buck up, reduce reps and up weight to 95lbs…

Try em from the power rack maybe??

Nice FST-7 in here! I forgot about that, but I think it was Phil Heath that used to big on it a while back?

What’s Insulin Advantage? Some sort of diet? Me want to know more

wow! you are fantastic! Super cacao espresso!

^^Can I haz abz for the summerz?

gasp Two newbies to the log =)

Hi Blaze and kmcnyc
Yeah, I’m known for my volume 'round these parts

Thanks Austin, yep definetely got some progress on the bench. 'Bout time.

Kalle, hope you like the Pendlays. You’re back is already so awesome <3
Pre-wo stims are just more pills to take. I hate taking pills

Brute, you’re just awesome. I’m sure it’s not the bar influencing my weak shoulders pout

Thanks alexus, I’ll look into that later.

Aah Puff, I love Xena!
Nah, I leave the windows open. Partly not to get locked out, other part to listen to music.

Greg, he loved them! I liked them too, I just didn’t get to enjoy them hot because he took forever to sit down and eat so the burgers got cold. I heated his burger up (again) and he loved them.
You really just front squatted 135 3 weeks ago? Did you just start doing them… 3 weeks ago? =D

MiM, I like creatine because it makes me push those extra reps. But then again yesterday I didn’t take creatine and still had a good workout. So I can’t answer whether I feel a difference on days that I take it vs days that I don’t. I also take rhodiola though and it’s said to help weightlifters and endurance trainers alike, so maybe I can’t give a great review since it can be either the creatine or rhodiola working.
If I suggest it: definetely. Maybe you’ll want to try it later though? After you reach your body comp goals. I have a friend that I suggested the creatine to and a couple weeks later he told me he’s off it because he felt “puffy”. I don’t feel puffy, but I’m not everyone.

Maschy of course I started with 95#. Hold on, I got a vid…

The descent felt like forever, I never used anything to shorten the distance though.
What you might want to do (H4M gave me the tip) is to do them with your knees more bent:

This can also help you pull more and may save your lower back. That’s my opinion anyway.
I’ll say try a lower stance and try to rip 135 of the ground. You might surprise yourself.

Ashy, I know Phil probably did it, Jay Cutler and Mark Alvisi. Mark’s the hottie from Gaspari :stuck_out_tongue:
Insulin Advantage was an article on TN. It explains how to bulk and cut on the same day. Basically, you have 1-2 meals that spike your insulin peri-workout (I eat mine before and after, you can also have it after and after) and the rest of your meals don’t spike your insulin.
It’s pretty cool. Won’t call it a diet really since there’s nothing you have to particularly eat. More like a way of eating.
My post workout meal today was my chocolate bunneh from Easter =D
Yesterday was cornbread, mac and cheese and salisbury steak. Sometimes it’s IHOP or Five Guys lol

K, this post is LONG and I think I’ma go to the gym to do my cardio now. So will be back.

Thanks Timmy!

Stupid pic didn’t show.

Oh look there it is.

Well, double the pleasure.
Let’s hope kale and chicken will fuel some intense cardio.
