I stopped barbell benching awhile back…lol…I like dumbbells a lot better now, they spare my shoulder and I think I get better ROM with em, so ya…I say if there’s something you absolutely hate, stop doing it!

Matty, I was going to do it for the benching but the pegs were far away from the bar so I thought I couldn’t. Unfortunately I didn’t read your post about putting the bands on the very bottom. I’ll make sure to do that.
I did use them to stretch per your suggestion last night though. Me like.

Did chest/back today. Had plenty of energy, so started with walk to the gym.
Got a Frosty before my workout as well, so the fast-absorbing carbs will fuel my workout… that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it =)
So I walked in to the gym with the Frosty, and my friend makes a comment about my Frosty and a tsk-tsk smile (he still thinks I’m competing in May)
Anywho, after I incline benched 40s, he comes up to me and says “I’m getting a Frosty before my workout tomorrow”
Ha! I love my peoples.

Workout was done with 30-45 second rest between sets, had a lot of energy and motivation today.

i’m starting to get a lot more interested in your leg routines. not that i wasn’t interested before - but i do find it hard to make sense of what people are up to a lot of the time since i’m still fairly new to this strength training stuff. appreciate being here and having the opportunity to learn so much. that is a lot of weight on the leg press. holy crap.

Wow! I’m not that big on ice cream except when it is blistering hot outside. Probably is already in Florida. Not yet here on the Pennsy/Jersey border. I will have to look around for that stuff in anticipation of the hot weather.

I was pouring sweat. I was actually pouring sweat after the first superset of walking lunges and partials.
It could also be a raised metabolism from interval cardio this morning. Either way, I’m sure I made a lot of people feel like they should’ve been working harder :wink:
Then walk home. Got Muscle Milk instead of the norm choc milk. Nasty, I’m going back to Nesquick.
All in all, awesome day. Everything is sore, luckily tomorrow is a rest day.

So I’m hopping back on the progress pic boat
I’m using another BF formula to test my BF%
One that includes an abdominal test site
So now I measure 1) pectoral, 2) abdominal, 3) upper thigh

Whereas before I measured

  1. tricep, 2) suprailiac, 3) upper thigh
    My suprailiac virtually has no fat so my new 3-site test seems more accurate

Anyway, BF is reading 18.4%
I’m actually excited, I just love having something to work on. So now I have to get “shredded like a julienne salad”… again ;D
