So I finally have some time to breathe right now and get back online, although I wish I can go through the guys’ logs and catch up there as well. I’ll try to make time tonight :frowning:
Classes are kicking my ass, stayed up until 6 (not doing homework or anything, just had no desire to sleep), slept for a few hours, got to class, was supposed to go to the gym but said fuck it and went home. Mainly because I had to turn in a 4-page paper.

Eats have been crappy, although body comp isn’t reflecting that too much. I would make this a deload week but physically I don’t need a break. Mentally, I want to crawl into a hole.

Anyway, during the food massacre the past few days, I finally enjoyed Five Guys. Pretty amazing food, and I love that I saw the burgers start off as raw meat at the establishment. In other fast food, you can just HOPE that it started off as raw ground beef at all, much less the factory :wink:

So that’s all I got Angels, I’ll try to work on time management to get back online more

Sweetie, it’ll all be better soon. Almost spring break, right? Sometimes your head just isn’t in the game. I know you’ll be back in the gym and killin’ it soon. No worries.

Been there with school, it sucks, but keep ypur priorities in order and do well. I often am last minute with everything, papers, studying, etc., and I am a smart dude, and sometimes I wish I made that B+ an A because my lack of enthusiasm and effort kept me from succeeding, so yeah my only advice is to just push through and it’ll be worth it in the end.

5 guys, I’ll have to check it out after I am done dieting, sounds good, no homo, lol. Making me proud up in here, back width is looking good, workouts are looking good. Get that diet in order. I like buying my food and preppig for a few days in advance, keeps me from looking for an excuse to cheat because I have the food already made so I might as well eat what I have. I don’t like varying what I am eating either because I can easily make corrections if something goes wrong if I have all my cals and macros calculated. This is obviously just for diet mode, off season, I like to eat lol, but next off season definitely will be eating much cleaner.

i’m thinking about making this a deload week, too. physically i’m fine (should be peaking now, actually), but i’m just kinda ‘bleh’ about training and that isn’t me. and it definately isn’t you. good luck with your paper. hope next week is a better one.

So, got my ass to the gym this morning. I was coming up with all types of excuses to keep my ass at home, but of course I’m glad that I went.
Did lower-body, not much.

Box squats, worked up to 255 x 6
DB RDLs up to 40 x 10
Leg Press up to 4pps x 15
Partial leg curls
Leg extensions

Session was weak, and kept it low volume because it feels like forever since I last trained legs.

I did decide to hold off competing until September. I know that it’s possible to compete in May despite 6 classes and work and everything, but I have a lot of reasons to hold off.
I believe in “signs” and when I have more than a couple obvious reasons to do something, I take it as a sign.

Obviously I want more time to prepare, but I will also like to see a comp first and watching instead of doing the May show will allow me to do that. I also have other reasons I want to wait, but they’re minute.
I’m still going to be in diet mode however. Especially after the gym lay-off I had these past few days, it’s not an option haha. I did do a short workout at home the day before yesterday, but that doesn’t really count.

Anyway, I’m tired, that’s probably obvious, so I’m going to try to relax for a little while.

Glad you got yourself to the gym. More times than not I feel much better after hitting the gym when I previously didn’t feel like it.

Those be some awesome box squats. Looks like I need to step up my box squatting in the weeks to come.

Nikki - I’ve lurked your log a bit for awhile. I just can’t get over the volume of your workouts. Wow. You remind me a bit of the female Alpha. It makes me rethink what I’m capable of.

So it’s good that you’re owning your life and making the decisions that best suit your goals. And you know i’m a firm believer in reading the signs! So good on you for turning off the rational voice and trusting your vibes.

I agree, bummer that you’re not going to compete for a while but like everyone says, you can’t give two things 100%, and right now, your education has to be your focus.

Extra time for contest prep won’t hurt either. By the time it rolls around, you are going to look phenomenal.
