I filled mine with playground sand. It’s really cheap.
All my sand comes from Lowes in 50 lb bags. About $5.

Backordered dumbbells should round out gym in about a month. Got rack attachments for rope, cannonball pullups, landmines, eight 20 kg plates and 4 bars, so far. I fear this will become an acquisition addiction, limited only by space, as homeowners association nazis prohibit night parking outside garages.
I believe wife is embarrassed now when I keep garage door open. She wants me to wear a shirt when I work out. Impasse.
There is no point in closing the door. Part of the fun is getting the looks from the neighbors. Our HOA is similar. The president lives next door. I park on the other side, however, so he does not see a thing, unless I want him to.

First squats since February. I was chipping away at the concrete deposits in my rear delts. I prefer law bar squatting so more stretching in my future. I like this garage gym but I miss my commercial one.

Enjoying sandbag work despite not quite getting bag onto shoulder and bearhugs impact breathing. Only plates I could find were in kilos, need some lighter pairs to increase lifts.

Tried to squat today. Stretching didn’t help get arms into position for back squats.
Need SSB bar as well as more light weights.
zerchers 3 x 8 @ 133 lbs.
When I was squatting, I found face pulls with a band , and band pull aparts over my head really helped get the shoulders looser. A very light band .

I’ve located an SSB bar that I’ll be using for awhile. Still want to get back to regular bar.
Find it hard to squat now. Most gyms have squat racks and I have to to put my hands all the way to the collars to get under the bar. Can do xarm front squats but I always get the bar right in the Adam’s apple.
Light behind the neck press with a wide grip also helps.
Zercher squats are pretty good until you get a SSB
I miss it all.

Settled for 2 x 50 pushups today. It’s Friday.
Plates now total 574 lbs, 180 of that dedicated to farmers walks. Awaiting 3/4" chains and 9 pair dumbells. Maybe eventually a yoke bar and about 3 more pair dumbells. This fills up my side of garage, wife hasn’t complained.
