Why can’t they just stay home?
I try to make to the strongman class twice a week, learning new skills lifting different items. Also did circus dumbells and some big square box, but not very well.
Tonight was a new PR, 5 laps around the yard (1.1 mile) with the 80# sandbag alternating shoulders.
At least the guy was upfront regarding his son so you could take precautions.
That’s why God gave us phones and Zoom.
Update from Saturday. I sent a letter to that person today saying to stay away for 30 days and we’ll rethink then.
Just heard a judge friend was taken to hospital last week. Found out this morning that he’s on a ventilator. That was quick. He’s 60 and fat.

Because of my work, I have seen more than 70 infected people. Almost all are 30-50 year old age range. Only one has been really sick. We only had to provide him with an inhaler. I think age and being in shape are factors. I get tested once a week, and so far there have not been any issues. Of course I use PPEs around possibly infected people, and wear a mask around staff. I don’t wear one while in the office by myself.
Good to hear everyone is pretty much OK…just been doing streatching yesterday and today. PT tomorrow. Feeling old and tight.

I heard yesterday 2 more over 50 lawyer husband/wife friends are self quarantining after each tested positive, and I just heard my judge friend on a ventilator is in really bad shape. This is getting closer to home, all trial lawyers. Still worried/mad about those last Thursday’s afternoon wackos, despite masks/social distancing/incredible cleaning afterward. Apparently no big deal for them, but at least they all wore masks and kept their distances.
I hope clee78 is on target in stating regular excise helps. Time to increase “regular”.
Crippler, you’re farther along in the initiation phase of this stuff than I am. Stay cautious. I’ve been watching the Great Courses’ “Black Death” lectures which describe 14th century peoples’ reactions and defenses; pretty much parallels present day. That plague was bacterial, not viral.

Really missing weight plates, but I’m consistently getting a good lat workout.
We pretty much stay home and mask up when we go out/sanitizer use also.
Lower back was sore yesterday. Made appointment with Dr. for another sciatica shot. Needles to say, sand for 150# bag is moved down on the list of things to do.

Just heard my judge friend is getting better, he is up to 40% oxygen getting into his blood, but he is going on dialysis today. This is getting better?
I guess it beats the alternative. Hope he gets better soon.

1 mile sorta power walk, 50 pushups. I haven’t had a hip replacement!
My motivation is slipping from 5 months’ commercial gym absence. Urges to return there are impacted by my friend whose present oxygen level is 60 and attempts continue to remove his ventilator. He’s “recovering”. On the plus side, I’m on several online lists for a good garage weight set; got a bunch of good attachments for the new rack. Saturday I met new next door neighbor moving in, a somewhat younger, Marine vet. He’s in shape.

Might be settling for some inferior weights this week. Desparation.
Maybe find someone who has a nice home gym.
Crippler, yesterday ordered 495 lbs of plates and regular olympic bar. That plus the 140 I have on the farmers walks should be plenty free weight. Can finally use my variety of bars. Rack assembly starts this weekend.

Good to see you guys still at it. I’ve been out working on this sciatica/piraformis problem. Cant get it figured out. Had 2nd injection at L5 Friday.
I can lift and carry heavy no prob, but standing around lights me up!
Last wed strongman class did multiple 200# axle deadlifts. Lot harder with fatter bar! Also farmer bar holds 4 plates 60 seconds but I don’t know the weight of the bars.
Understanding motivation starting to slip…have to keep on each others ass I suppose. So here’s my challenge. Post a pic of you holding something heavy…
