chin ups 2,4 (used band on last set)

kettlebells: 3 x 30, 1 x 10 @ 35; 3 x 30, 1 x 10 @ 50; 1 x 15 @ 80

bands: lat pulldown 3 x 20; flyes 3 x 20; curls 3 x 15; tricep extensions 4 x 10; side lat raises 3 x
15; front raises 3 x 15 (bands produce a good tightness feeling I had forgotten)

75 - 80 lb sandbag shoulder carries about 50 feet each side around garage (raining)

Finally braved the virus and got 2 more 50 lb sacks of sand; Home Depot let about 10 people at a time into store. No previous virus deaths’ knowledge until Tuesday when a friend’s 80 yr old brother died from it after about 17 days suffering and same friend’s wife’s coworker, 40 yr old IT guy, also died from it. There are 4 small towns in Louisiana listed in NYT Sunday first section page of graphs; each was rated in to top 10 nationwide for various aspects of the virus.

One would never know otherwise with all the kids driving around my subdivision in golf carts like Mardi Gras floats. (no golf course in subdivision) Home quarantine Louisiana style…

Quarantine around here is not really happening. They have reported our county has the largest percentage of essential workers in the nation. This is due to agriculture. I tried to go to Lowes a couple weeks ago, and it was just stupid. The place was packed.

chin ups 3 x 3 w/band, some improvement here

variious band widths: tricep extensions 3 x 15 (honestly felt like l00 lbs or so in gym); curls 3 x 15; flyes 3 x 15; side lateral raises 3 x 15; front lateral raises 3 x 15; these produced some sweat

about 75 or 80 lb sand bag carry about 140 feet.

For a Friday workout this was ok. Actually liking garage work, just not the solitude. I’ve read that heat/sunlight/vitamin D may defend against the virus, so future commercial gym work will include steamroom after each workout. Presently enjoying decisions on building garage gym which will be a slow building process even when stuff’s back in stock. Made my rack order during about the 2 day time order window was open. Jeez.

That reminds me my daughter has a 30lb kettlebell I should probably be doing swings with it.

and I need to find a decent chin up bar that is in stock…

OG, good luck finding anything in stock. Be thankful you have plates.

neutral grip pullups/chins w/band 3,3,2
kettlebell 35 lb, 60 reps each arm, then 60 reps both arms together
bands: lat pulldowns 3 x 15; lateral raises 3 x 10, front raises 3 x 10; curls 3 x 10, tricep extensions 3 x 10

Too hot and humid 3:30 pm workout, so skipped sandbag work.

Time to add some sand. Ordered landmine today, no weights nor bar, but someday…

I bet all that sandbag work is going to pay off once you get some weights.

That’s the plan. comfortable with that thing now. Just got to get the farmer’s walks into my comfort zone.

sandbag carry (95 lbs) 120 feet.

Sandbag carries going well; really leave me winded.

Biker- Just curious are you shoulder carrying, bear hugging carry, Zercher? as soon as I read winded I wanted to find out. Not that it matters…just good stuff brother!

All pre 95 lb sandbag carries were shoulder carries, which I prefer. 95 lbs have been bear hugs. Today I tried shoulder carry but it was awkward after 20 feet, so bear hug again.

95 lb sandbag bear hug carry 140 ft.

I read that pullups require pulling elbows to chest. That mindset produced good reps and improved form. Band was albeit useless; last set was after sandbag carry. Will continue reading that book.

I’ve always thought pullups were a solid test of strength.
